Sorry has been quite busy today. To answer your questions:

      1) Most school if not all has some sort of streaming system. Each system has its own merits but of course there will be element of stress. As long as we parents do not emphasize too much and pressurise own children beyond their capabilities, most children should benefit from the streaming system. Nan Hua has been performing fairly well over the past years and I feel it is due to various factors including the streaming system.

      2) Yes. I also live in Jurong and near to Lakeside MRT. My children do not take school bus but I know of kids in my estate and nearby flats who take about half hour to and fro school. For example, their bus will pick them up at 6.30am and they usually reach school about 7am or earlier.

            Hi Fluffy,

Check with you, I know Nan Hua is a single session school but they still start at 7.30am? For all levels? What time does school end?

Hi EqmUM and all Nan Hua Mummies

Is your child at nan hua? do you know the work load? I have heard horrible stories.

                Thanks

Ya, he is currently in P5. I find that it still manageable for him. No doubt sometime he has more homeworks as compare to other days, but overall still ok. I think that still voice down to your child time management. My boy will try to finish up his homework in school or in between CCA. Discus, forget about the horrible stories you heard. If you want your child to study at Nan Hua, then you have to get yourself prepare and support your child all the way. Your child can also sail through the 6 years with easy with your full support.

By the way, Thursday is enrichment day for P3 to P6. The kids will only be let off at 4pm.
