Hi there,
I am new to this forum, I have got one question - if we register our child for phase 2b for one school (after we did pv)- and was not given a place after selection and balloting. Are we allowed to go back to our former school and register our child as phase 2A scheme? -

The P1 Registration goes in this order - Phase 1, 2A1, 2A2, 2B, 2C, 2CS and finally 3. Registration for the subsequent phase will only start after the registration for the earlier phase ends. Hence, there is no such thing as back tracking.
What you should do is to register your child under P2A first, monitor the situation in the school where you qualify for P2B and decide which school you want to try for on the last day of P2B's registration.
BTW, can you please report at the Newbie thread? It's a SOP in KSP.com forum.

I agree & I mentioned before, different churches have different 'criteria'. Some churches require you to be serving in at least some ministry actively before they'll write a recommendation for you.
Hi again! If you intend to join and attend a church now, it may also be too late cos the pastor will consider your length of time at the church and your level of commitment. It's very difficult for him to write a recommendation letter for you when he knows so little about you. He may also have guidelines to follow to be fair to other members of the church.twinnies mummy:
Hi mrswongtuition,
My girl attends a church kindergarten but both of us are not baptised Christians nor Catholics. Neither do we attend a church. Therefore we wouldn't be able to get recommendation letter from churches. Would it be too late if we would to join one now since my girl has been attending a church kindergarten for 2 years???
Pls advise.
:?:
That was how my parents got me into my primary school. However, my paternal grandfather was a pastor & both my parents grew up in Methodist churches, but at different churches. & they were very active in alot of church ministries, so when they did not even have to ask for the letter, it was automatically given to them when it was about time to register me for P1
My parents kept telling me how 'easy' it was considering the fact that we were also within the 1km radius from the school. But it was tougher for my bro as they wanted him to go to Maris Stella, which was just within 2km radius. At that time, they had a 'pre-primary' which my mum enrolled my brother & he was automatically in for P1 registration (that was many donkey years ago).

Save the hassle of all these. Going crazy over all these.
Anyway, we have decided to stick to our best chance of getting a place. I.e P2C less than 1km balloting for Nan Chiau in Sengkang. That's our best bet for now. Whereas we might not even stand a chance to ballot for SNGS or MGS for P2B <2km. Unless a miracle happens. haha
We will then consider transfering school later if her results are good. -
twinnies mummy:
that is assuming that she has no resistance to changing school later on.....

My hb's school is closed and my school is all the way to the west....
Hi Mummy_Tang!
You mentioned your husband's primary school is now closed. Could it have been merged into other schools? Have you verified? -
Hello... I'm new here. I need to register my gal next year for P1. Really need all the KS experts advise...
Was hestiating whether to register her to Hong Wen School or not since I'm a old girl from this school. If i'm not wrong i should be in phase 2A2. Chances very high to get into the school right?? But... that school has moved to a place which has no direct bus from our house (I'm staying at Central). So transport is my main concern.
I understand that Pri school is very impt. Hope to enrol her to a good pri school also. :?:
