MOE Relooking P1 registration - Too much priority to alumni

Since it doesnt affect me liao.... am just seating around to see whats their next step (after this year's registration), if any.

Believe nothing new will come out now cos any changes will affect this year's batch - be it whether changes are made for this year or next - and it will leave a sour note on alot of parents if the announcement is made now.

Haha - if i were a stakeholder, ie, have kids registrating in later phases in coming years - you can be sure i would probably write in to MOE...

Other than that - i think i will be a passive bystander who will grumble abt how 'incorrect' the system is.....

Same same, whatever policy comes in won't affect my family even though my DS1 is registering this year. Coz i don't have any fences, both schools are within 0.2 - 0.5 km. Only need to decide where to stay only. So peace to all. :xedfingers:

Me too. Wondering is it time for Chief to seal this topic before everyone gets too heated up and being too confrontational? Really, this forum is for sharing of opinions and it will not get anywhere since there is no representative of MOE officials here. Really don't want the KSP forum to continue on in bashing each other. I hope.

And yes, let's agree to disagree.

Although peace is preferred and there is no change to the current system for the time being, we cannot deny the fact that some of the issues being raised here are indeed valid and worth a second look by policy holders for future plans.

initially like you, i too wish to hear opinion and views from MOE past and present officials' replies (if any), hence \"invited\" them.

however after 133 pages, this topic not getting anywhere. Hear arguments merry go round. No official reply. sick of this topic now !

so suggest those who keen to pursue the answer / Truth, just go ahead email ask the policy makers direct. They are the ones in authority and position who wield power, make final decision. Not we ordinary folks.

perhaps high time Chief consider to lock this thread. Ugly arguments getting nowhere. Restore peace.

This thread is not going anywhere…it’s advisable to close case.
MOE has already made the move to give priority to Singaporeans and even that can stir up issues with comments like ‘PURE’ Singaporeans and converted ones. It’s not healthy.
