Hi! You must send your child for an assessment by qualified psychologist in order to diagnose. These group of children are typically verbal and have high IQ but have some ASD traits, especially in their social skills.
Hi HappyStar,happystar:
Dear Parents,
It's really great to hear your children are settling well in mainstream primary schools. Does anyone know which schools in the Central area are supportive of high functioning ASD children? My child is registering for P1 this year.
how/what they found out that and classified as High Functioning ASD Children in Singapore?
High IQ. act normal but still have ASD traits? and why they still classify as ASD? -

My son will be enrolling next year. I am also trying to see which primary school is supportive.
For central, I heard that the St Andrews Primary is a good one. Not sure if this is central enough for you

Hi nugget, are you participating in the P1 registration this year? St Andrews Primary seems too far for me. I will be sending my child to River Valley Primary.

hi helplessmum3,
you have to be more positive.
our kids are different but definately not less.
i told my girl she is special in her own unique way, and this is what makes her her.
all of us here have gone a long way with our kids, but it will only get better. trust me, they will cope better and improve as they grow up.
you will be smiling at little steps of improvement they make every day. :celebrate: -
Chibi,
