Just saw the news, COE up again. All time high.

No wonder the new cars on the road now are all the branded cars!

Not many pp will pay 80k for COE and 40k for a basic car.
      not yet all time high

the all time high was S$110,000 for a \"si hor ee\"

I hope there will be a time when I can do away with a car. Imagine the kind of money I would save every month. Maybe when ds hits Sec 1 when I don’t need to send him to all the enrichment classes.

nonid frustration, they quickly scrap the car and got back everything, almost no loss, those days PARF was like 80% or around there

I think the taxis COEs are making the smaller cars more expensive. Recently, it was reported in the newspapers that bidding from taxi companies make up more than 30% of the bids in the small cars category.

                        found this recent blog...

                        http://unbrandedbreadnbutter.wordpress.com/2012/03/28/the-mysterious-case-of-taxis-and-cat-a-coe/

it is basically say that taxis are making small cars more expensive and zheng hu does not give a good explanation of why it is doing like that. It is unfair to let us common people fight for COE with taxi companies, they have so much cash and they need to taxi to make a profit but some of us just need it for convenience or work in very far places. Public buses are exempted COE leh...arghhh...
