Hi, times flies and the mid year exam will be started immediately after the 1st May Holiday.

The subjects tested are similar to Primary school like EL, MT, Math and Science only.

No exam for Geo and D&T!
No exams for Geog? How about History and Lit? How come?

May? Brenda, your DD is having more time for revision. My DS' common test for all subjects starting end Apr. I wonder how prepared is my DS!

        Hi Pen,

I think they do have some mini test but seldom see the paper return for signature.

Yes, you're right as DD still have quite sufficient time for revision.

As such, the focus will be in Math and Science since Geo is not going to be tested.

DS has his fair share of mini tests and graded assignments throughout the whole term. But this common test is like the mid year exam - all will attend the tests and go off after the tests (no more lessons). 2 subjects a day total 3 days 😓 . LA, HCL, Maths, Sci, Geog, Hist all included. No way to :siam:

          Hi Jtoh

EL and Literature are studied as Communicative Arts may be I should put it at Communicative Arts exam instead of EL exam.

Yes, no schedule is given for Geog exam and heard from DD they will only start teaching the history on the Term 3 (after June holiday).

            :scared:

Seems like DD doesn't have so much graded assignments or min test lah! Hardly see her have homework too!

That's why she can still afford to follow those China Drama Show!

So your dd does Geog in the first semester and History in the second semester? How about Science? Does she do Physics, Chem and Bio separately in different semesters too?

For Science, they started with Physics. Just like Geog, they are learning the relevant topics from Sec 1/Sec 2 book.

has anyone tried Dr Daniel’s science tuition ? I was just browsing the index and found that he gave answers to some science questions.

                        No...DD is relying on herself.
The Science textbooks are pretty comprehensive...
At the moment, they are enough to guide DD along.
So not considering external help at all. 😄
