If you want a Catholic school near Bishan, the nearest would be Marymount Convent. You can try for Phase2B (no need to volunteer) since you are Catholic and most prob no need to ballot coz Marymount Convent only requires balloting at Phase 2C Supp. This is becoz most Singaporean parents will try other more popular schools first before coming to Marymount. However it is actually not bad so if you are not that kiasu, you can consider putting her in Marymount during Phase 2B and there will be no competition even if you are >2km away.

Likewise for CHIJ OLGC at Phase 2B. But CHIJ OLGC fills up at Phase 2C within 2km.

We're not that kiasu to enroll her to top branded school, it will be long journey for our daughter I dont want to stress her too much in her young age eventhough she is a smart girl.

Hi, do not go to AMK Primary school, the principle is not responsive and some of the teacher are violent and not responsible. They do not really prepare the student for their PSLE and if you refer to their website, their PSLE standard are below national average.

Intend to enrole my second child there in 2 years time as next year the school will go single session after the upgrading work.

Can any parent whose child already in Mayflower Pri and Anderson Pri comment on your experience with the schools?


My girl is eligible under 2A2 for Anderson Pri. All i know and heard from friends is that Anderson is ‘not bad’. Problem is that they also ‘heard’ from others. Anderson’s website doesn’t seem to update timely however their admin does reply my enquiry promptly. And, my other concern is that they have a new principal on board last year so i not sure how it is going to impact the moral/ standard of school and staffs?

I surfed webiste of Mayflower Pri and I am rather interested with the school. It seem like they do provide a great environment for study.

Should i just go for 2A2 (Anderson)? Please help! thank you so much!

Just go to Anderson at Phase 2A2. Many parents are fighting to get in. I dun think you should judge the school based on the website.

You can actually visit the Anderson Pri and Mayflower Pri parents networking threads to ask the parents themselves for their comments. Better to make judgement after talking to pple who put their kids in there.


Websites are just marketing tools… beautiful and updated doesn’t mean the school is good; not updated doesn’t mean the school is nonchalant either. Maybe just shorthanded.
