2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take

Would like to find out during the registration for a particular phase, will there be statistics on how many applications is within 0-1km, 1-2km, >2km? Or is the statistics out after registration is closed?

May i know if MOE will inform us of 2013 Pri 1 registration (for my son 2006 - 2A2 for CHS) or shall i look up from MOE website for the date of registration? what if I miss it? i am quite stressful because my friend already received the application form from her P5 daughter for P1 registration......

Your son will receive a book from his childcare centre/kindergarten detailing the schools' niche areas, languages offered, etc. The registration dates will also be included in the book. So, look out for the book.

In addition, like other forummers mentioned, the dates are already out in MOE's website. You may like to visit the MOE website and take note of the details.

Officially, that is on MOE's website and Teletext, they don't mention anything about distance. However, if you were to call the schools directly, they will usually tell you. You may check with the schools on a daily basis.

For this year, a new ruling had just been implemented, that is, priority would be given to Singapore Citizens.

example: phase 2C

if the school receives 10 SC applications, 15 PR applications within 1 km, we would take in the SC first. If demand exceed vacancies, balloting. The PR applications would be placed aside and we would look at other SC applications above 1km radius. All SCs would be given priority to fill up the places. Once all SCs had been taken, then the school would look into the PRs application.

The school would not be able to pre-empt on the number of applications that we would receive due to this change of ruling. During registration, the number of applicants applied would be reflected in the MOE's website and parents can monitor the take up rate for all the schools in Singapore.

bring all original documents - plus extra set of photocopied documents.
after P1 registration completed, you can go back work.

if you go down early morning and have all your documents ready, by lunch time should have completed (if no hiccup). PM can go back office liao. Apply half day leave will do.

hours of registration are:-

8.00 am to 11.00 am,
2.30 pm to 4.30 pm

Thanks. I'm not too sure to go for 2A2 or 2B.. Still undecided that why i am nervous. :))
