      MathIzzzFun:

      Hi

      jack's spending : jill's spending --> 25u : 11u
      jack's total : jill's total --> 25u + 256 : 11u
      jack's total = 3 x jill's total
      25u + 256 = 33u
      1u --> 32... using this, a) & b) can be worked out

      cheers.
      Hi MathIzzzFun,

      Thank you very much!!!

      Regards.

              Hi

              First thing first, did you make any changes to the original question?

              Do take note that 600 and 360 were not given in your original question.Please post the original question as it is shown in your source.

                On Sunday, Mrs Tan gave Devi and Susan some sweets. On Monday, Devi gave Susan 40%of her sweets. On Tuesday, after Susan gave 2/5 of her sweets to Devi both of them had the same number of sweets. If Susan had 112 more sweets than Devi at first, how many sweets did Devi have on Sunday. :thankyou:

                Devi : 70
                Susan : 182

                  2) Question 16 - ???? missing from this question below

                  In an amusement park, there were 3/8 as many girls as boys. After 20 boys left that park and 12 girls entered the park, the ratio of boys to girls became 3:7
                  (a) How many girls were at the amusement park at first? (ans: 144)
                  (b) How many children were at the amusement park at the end? (ans: 520)

                  Thanks!

                  Hi

                  Good Morning.

                  If you work backwards from the given answer, the missing ratio is 3:7.

                  Best wishes

                    Hi again! I was unsure of a question and would like to get step by step answer. This question that makes me unsure cause of remainder!!! It was like a p5 question but appear in p6 question!

                    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------In a camp, there was 1 teacher for every 20 pupils. The number of girls was 3/5 the number of boys. There were 420 more boys than girls.
                    a) How many children were in the camp?
                    b) How many teachers were in the camp?
                    Dear friends here, I know the a) answer is 1050, but when you divide by 20, the answer is 52 R 10, should the answer round up to 53?

                        Hi

                        The answers are (a) 1680 and (b) 84.

                        2 units ----- 420
                        1unit ----- 210

                        8 units ----- 1680

                        1680/20 ----- 84

                        Best wishes
