My DD is P4 at EPPS.

What kind of experience that you are referring to?

So far my DD is improving well, she enjoys studying despite of lots of homework and other activity. She stays in school up to 4 to 6 PM almost every day due to the activity she has.
I found the teachers are helpful, especially MT teacher (CL) that she email us the progress and activities in class almost every week.

Despite negative comments earlier, IMHO EPPS is one of good neighborhood school.

EPPS does not have any open house. There is a parent seminar co-organised by other pasir ris primary schools but EPPS does not join as well. Why is it so? They are not bother to promote themself and not ready to show case?

So far, is really not much info we can gather for EPPS. Am wondaring if this is a ‘right’ school for my kids… headache.

You could see and analyze the take in history during the past years. Hope you could be enlighten thru it. 🙂

Thanks for reply. There could be other reason why the take-in rate is up? You see, the residential is increased especially for the next few years. Livia, Oasis@Elias etc.

Just wondaring how the parents get the school info. EPPS does not get many awards(or rather, very few) based on thier web site. Not much CCA to choose from too.

                    You are rite! Limited CCA..
Nothing much info abt the sch.. The reason y taking in rate is good is because of the blooming residential nearby otherwise nothing much. Some other parents might disagree and believe it is a good sch coz they are great supporters of EPPS or even a PSG members..
I had no choice but to regstr DS there coz bck then the other nearby sch was taken up.. Lost the plc by only 1 seat:(
I find EPPS quite petty in certain ways.. No car allowed to drop off kids in the sch compound or outside the road even on rainy days.. It can be quite chaotic for us parents who already had to drive like 15 minutes journey to the sch and then to work. The designated drop off station is at the side of the school whc is quite a distance frm the sch back gate. Need to enter the residential carpark entrance and the jam ard tht area every morning is terrible! What is wrong dropping them off just at the front gate?? I just dont get it! It causes more congestion this way. Not a good system I feel.

What is wrong by dropping them off at the front gate? Oh my … Can you imagine 100 cars dropping all their kids off at the MAIN GATE and jamming up the MAIN ROAD … Imagine the ire of other road users … Hope the above gives u the logical sense why the Sch didn’t allow parents to drop off at the front gate during peak hours. Otherwise, I’ve picked up/drop off my DD at the Main gate during off-peak without any issues … Just not during peak hours.

IMHO, we are all gather here in KSP is to share and to discuss. Each of us would have different opinion with different angle of view. So what I post here is to share what experiences that my DD got for the past 2 years as we just reside to Singapore in 2009. Hope these would help :imanangel:

Regarding CCA, what's the point of having so much choices but in the end CCA doesn't give any 'extra' benefit to our child? IMHO, I would choose CCA that really suits my DD and would help her to get 'extra' benefit from it such as performing well at that certain CCA that would help her to secure a place in good secondary school thru DSA.

Drop off point at both side of the school is relatively OK. Here are the pic that I took this morning.

Driveway towards the drop off point

                        Driveway towards the main road

School after all just a school especially at this era as we parents have to do great extra works outside school if we would like our child to score well in their exam. There may be many children that could self survive in their study/exam, but if we see so many crowded enrichment centre around, I think most of our child need extra effort from us as parents to benefit them. We could also see the proof from how much effort from P6 parents in KSP PSLE Preparation topics

One question been around my head all along, any guarantee that all children studying in other school that one say better than EPPS would perform better than children studying in EPPS? There are always big fishes in small pond and also small fishes in big pond. The choice is yours :xedfingers:

Another info about EPPS, Courage and Diligent Classes starting from P3 onwards are the top ability students classes.

                        Cheers
