Hi Mums, how do you cope with 2 kids? I find myself focusing a lot of the P1 and the nursery kiddo is left to play with her masak-masak... which is kinda cute.

Can anyone share their schedule, please?
I neglected daughter when she was in P1 last year and regretted it...son was in P5 and needed more attention. This year, son is sitting for PSLE but he has Math and Chinese tuition. So I have time to coach daughter. Felt so guilty last year.
Both in morn session. Nights, son will do his work while myself or hubby will coach daughter. Hubby handles her Math and spelling.

elder boy in morning session and younger in afternoon session.
morning i do my stuff (nap..lol as i wakes up at 6am and then again at 9am); noon time grocery shopping/housework; afternoon focus on elder boy; after dinner belongs to younger; after kids' bedtime belongs to husband. πŸ™‚

Same here, but sometimes my housework get more priority than my younger dd.
We always focus on eldest as their level always higher than younger.i didn't do so much fun with my dd compare with my son.

              sleepy:

              How about pilates?
              Anyone tried before?

Already very careful with my diet. Only steam dishes & porridge. Still growing sideway 😒
              Hi sleepy!
I do pilates regularly (at least once or twice a week). It's great for strengthening and shaping, and it is VERY hardwork. I love it! I see a change in my body. But don't expect to lose much weight with it. (my butt is still big, but at least it's pert!) for weight loss, as what the others have suggested you probably need to include swimming, running/walking etc. for that.

I don't think it really matters what exercise you do, as long as you exercise regularly. For SAHMs, coz we're busy and don't have long stretches of free time, it's best to integrate exercise into your routine. So, I walk at least 1.5km everyday by picking my son up from school. The Pilates studio is on the way (ok, short detour la) to the school, so I walk to pilates class, suffer for an hour, then I pick him up. Make exercise convenient!

When I was working, I would go for Pilates class at lunchtime - walk there and back (about 1- 2 km) and just grab a light lunch after. Then, instead of fighting with the mrt crowds at the end of the day, I would walk to where it wasn't so crowded. It added an extra 20-30 min to my trip home, but it made exercise much easier.

I don't need to nap coz I think exercise actually boosts my energy. But, if I don't get my exercise, I feel out of sorts. If I could have it my way, I'll work out first thing in the morning, so the buzz lasts the whole day. But my schedule doesn't permit it.

Why not start with brisk walking, then add other stuff as your energy levels rise? All the best with your exercise routine!

Although Sat is jammed packed with tuition, it is chill out time while waiting for my son to finish his tuition in the evening.
