My dc got almost 98 but still cert of credit only. If 5000 or more participants, one needs to be in the 99 percentile to go to round 2. Anyone managed to get into round 2 can provide some clues about the percentile needed to qualify for round 2?inotks:

Yah, hard to know without info on the actual number of participants. DS (P6) managed 95.87 percentile, but under cert of credit ie. 51-120. So I believe need to be at least 96-97% to get into top 50.

Has any of your children attended the Primary Maths Olympaid Programme organised by the Singapore Mathematical Society? This prog is usually held during the June holidays? Will this one-week programme help to reinforce concepts to prepared kids for the coming NMOS competiton? Feedback needed.

Yes for Junior Category but there is no even one student in the toppers list for Open Category. Schools like Catholic High, Nanyang, Nan Hua, Rosyth are more consistent with a few toppers in both Junior and Open Categories. -
