Who pay the air ticket of domestic helper?

Hi! i am new here. We are in a very diffcult situation, hope to get some advice.
my indo maid has been working for us for 11 months and suddenly wanted to go back after she got her 2nd full pay. she said she missed her son very much.
What is the procedure? Do we send her back to the maid agency? Is there any chargers to pay? Do we pay for her air ticket cos she didn’t even finish 2 yrs contract? -
MOM rule is emPloyer need to pay regardless who breaks the contract as long as maid sent back home. But if your contract spells out that maid must pay then just deduct from her salary. Since her loan finish you do not need to send her back to agency. But does your agency provide free replacement? If yes then sent her back to agency. If not then Talk to her nicely and say that since she is the one who breaks the contract then she pays for own ticket.

Good to get a contract that spells out that maid must pay for airfare if she breaks the contract.

i thought MOM rules will override the contract, so irregardless, employers are still liable to pay for the air ticket.

Nothing is stated in the contract. I checked with the Agent, she said employers is liable to pay for the airticket.

not meant to be mean, just tell the maid, if break contract and you want to go home, you pay for the ticket
as for the agent, after loan finished repaying, nothing to do with agent unless they are sending a replacement maid for you to choose
why must we employers allow maids to come to singapore for holidays fully paid for food and housing and with free air tickets and suka suka say want to go home ? sorry, this is employment contract, not \"free and easy\" holiday package

once you purchased her air ticket, just go to Ministry of Maids and cancel her work permit online and then send her to airport personally to make sure she clears immigration and no sneaking around

Agree agree. Since no more loan, nothing to do with agent. Tell her if she want to go back she need to pay her own air ticket. Check out jetstar or whatever budget air price and tell her. She agree, buy ticket online, go mom website to canel work permit and deduct the air ticket price on her final month pay and let her go. Indons quite common like that. She take 2 months pay already think very good. I have given up on Indons. This happens oh so often with them. When they finish spending their money back home, they will think of coming again...sigh -

We have to bear the cost of the insurance and other incidental expenses that come with hiring the maid (I May it is another $75 more if it is a new maid).
Has someone ever written a contact to be sign by the maid on day one when we take her from the agent? This contract could include the paying of air fare etc?
Or do we just do it verbally like what verykiasu2010 suggested. Would something written help us?
Heard that there were some case of a maid who went back under such circumstances then complained to the agent that the employer made her pay the air ticket home. Heard something like wanting to complain to MOM on this (Must have been taught by someone to try it)

Sorry, you can think of whatever ways and means you like to get the maid to pay, but the employer is still liable for the airfare home. That is standard requirement: employer pays for airfare to nearest airport to her home.I agree that the maid should be made to bear the cost of the air ticket if she choses to break the contract.

But MOM may be coming up with some changes later in the year regarding airfares in certain circumstances, and medical expenses.
