U just have to tell him repeatedly to be careful. They are not conscious of people around them and tends to do that. My boy will even sit on a puddle of water or a box on a chair. It didn’t occur to him that he should remove them first.

I think it takes a lot of patience to keep reminding them over and over until the lesson is learned.

I think u can also talk to him about keeping a distance with other people. Maybe social story books can help? I’m now going through a series of proper behavior with both my kids and one of them is keep our hands to ourselves. It was just flashing of charts and a one-line sentence. U can try that. Print out big pictures and put a sentence on the proper behavior.

It also took me a long time to potty train my son. I tried everything, reading up through kids potty books, adult potty books, even potty books for ASD kids, bought potty video, a few potty chairs. All doesnt work. Its really pulling my hair out.

One day I bought a sesame street potty video and his fav character potty seat from amazon, and also do a visual cue cards... and slowly after a few accidents, he finally go potty. It was a tough fight. It wasn't as easy for me. Lots of sweat and tears.

It took me almost about a year to train him. Till now he still have some accidents but he is improving already. I am sooo proud of him and myself! :rahrah: :xedfingers:

Today my son had his first longest conversation with me. It was nothing much but I am still very glad. WE are talking about dark clouds in the sky outside the window and if can we still go swimming pool or not. After that he took out his soft toys and we role play with that and he was leading the conversation most of the time.

He is really improving .. i am so so happy. A happy day for me.

Hopefully one day he will tell me everything that happened in school. I am really looking forward to that day. :boogie:

Mine was also potty trained at 3 yrs old and poo trained at 3.5. It took only 2 weeks to train him to pee altho we have done a few times before that but he just couldn’t get it. At 3, he just did it. Guess when they are ready, they are. Something that u can’t rush if they aren’t ready.

And guess what, now in pri sch, there was once he actually peed in the parade square in front of all his classmates! Sigh! He was drinking water from his water bottle and peeing at the same time during PE class. Really embarrassing for him coz after that his classmates teased and laughed at him.

                      Hi nugget,

So happy for you too! Wow, that’s really something that I am hoping my boy can do too. My boy still could not hold a conversation with us. But he has improved as in when we asked him "How are you? Are you OK?" At least he can now answer back "OK". Recently, after watching Leapfrog DVDs, he can remember all the letter sounds already and today when I tested him, he can actually sound out all the letter sounds almost perfectly! So proud of my boy too! At least for now I know he has already learnt the basic phonics starting with letter sounds. I think the way to get my boy to learn is really through DVDs. Now he is watching the whole series of Leapfrog DVDs and I hope he will learn about addition and subtraction this way as well.

Ytd I shouted real hard on my boy. He got a shock n look at me real hard.

I already told him not to pour out cereal from the bowl n he keep pouring out. I shouted and I goes to e kitchen n throw away the cereal.

Once I come out from kitchen he keep staring at me . He goes to his dad sit w him but eye keep looking at me…

I wonder does he really know about feeling.
