It's just sheer luck. There r wi Gold but not for silver that I learnt of. just present himself confidently during the interview. Answer to the question & not quote people or examples that he is unsure of, will do!

ACSI is also having open house on 19 MAY 2012!!!!

Why are all the schools having it on the same day!!!!!

Here's the detail :
The ACS (Independent) 2012 Direct School Admission Exercise for Year 1 will commence from 19 May 2012 and end on 21 June 2012. Details of DSA Year 1 exercise will be announced during our Open House on Saturday, 19 May 2012 at the CPA 2
8:30 am to 10:45 am – Feeder Schools
10:45 am to 1:00 pm – Other Schools
More details on the Open House programme will be uploaded in due course.

Highlight your Dance CCA, Join for How Many Years, Hold Any Office Position like Captain / President, Outstanding CCA Award for Dance, ....
Letter of Recommendation from your Dance Coach, CCA Teacher, External Dance T, ....

No need. In fact my friend's dd who did it pretty pretty was shocked to realize that SOTA just tore it apart and kept the relevant portions.
