Do you want to work till 75 years old?

in search of younger man ? enticed and attracted by younger men with fatter wallets may be ... :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
not so much of looking for younger man but rather the wives have been taking care of the family and you know how chauvinistic Japanese men can be. It's was a 'tradition' for the wives to buy gifts for the mamasan and the 'ladies' every New year for pampering and entertaining their husbands outside their homes :yikes: Even the tableware husband and wife use have to be different sizes (the larger ones go to the hubby).
that's why in Japan many wives initiate divorce when their husbands retire :evil:pinky:
Oh, past 50 better take it slow and easy.
But dh better don't stay at home all day and drive me :frustrated: .
Man, sigh, once retired will turn his attention to the house and get in the way.
So after suffering all these humiliation over the years, it's no surprise that wives choose to walk out of a marriage after the husband retire and the children old enough to graduate and work.. -
From what I learn when I was working in a Japanese MNC, the man’s salary is wired directly into an account that the wife controls. The wife will then give the husband his daily pocket money.
In some Jap firms, the man’s salary is split into 2 parts. There is the portion that goes into the family’s account and there is the portion that goes directly into the man’s pocket.
How true all these are, I’m not sure. Cos the subsequent Japanese colleagues I met in the various companies that I worked in were very much Americanised. -
I've seen how my Dad drove my mum nuts when he first retired.
Looking at my parents now, their days are occupied with trips to the wet market or NTUC, taiwan/korean drama and the stock market. The occasional trip abroad and some home improvement projects.
I keep asking DH how he thinks our lives will be like when the kids are grown and have their own families. I cannot see myself watching all those dramas and going to the market daily. :skeptical: While the idea of having more time with DH seem nice, I think I will be itching to kick him out of the house in no time at all. As it is now, there will be times when I will wish that he is out stationed for the week.
So really to keep everyone's sanity, think I better work for as long as I can. -
That’s true, sometimes I wish dH is not in S’pore. When he is away the Hse feels clean but when he is back the Hse seems dirty.
Also like to ask where is this thing and where did I put that thing… -

Yah so bad hor.
And just when I was writing the previous post, my sis sms me say her DH is driving her nuts. He's on leave last Fri and today. And she is only spending today with him and already she is screaming bloody murder. Haha.
But hor, must not take things for granted.
MIL and FIL were always snapping at each other. When 1 is home the other one will be out. At 1 point, MIL even said she wanted to divorce FIL since DH and SIL are all grown and have their own family. But amidst all the snapping and complaining about each other, FIL will still meet MIL almost daily at her work place and have lunch with her before heading home together. Then FIL passed away suddenly last year and now MIL is saying she misses him very much. Now want to quarrel oso no one to quarrel with. -

For me, I don't mind going for trips to supermarket. Have been doing it now since SAHM.I've seen how my Dad drove my mum nuts when he first retired.

Better than over stress at workplace.
But if DH retired, probably I nag more at him than I do so now, for messing up the house or for walking around when I am doing my household chores, blocking the small pigeon hole walkway while I am also walking around too. Almost knock into him a few times when I rushing around.

DH and me both think we will work till 75 years old if NO CHOICE, aka no money to survive.
Don’t like the idea of might work till dead in workplace, over stress till might have heart attack or stroke when old. touch wood.
