When my oven was still on warranty, the electrician came. Unearthed the oven connection and let the oven run for a while. Once the heating element is all dry, he reconnect the oven back and , Wa la! done!

My fren once told me about her husband doing it himself after the tech taught him the know how.

How to run the oven when there's no electricity?

No, no ... it has to do with removing 1 of the wires that will trip the circuit breaker when there is and overload.....
I dun do that. I just run my oven at the lowest possible temp that will not trip the circuit breaker. Takes a few tripping....
I can't do what the electrician does bcos mine is a built in oven. The electrical coonection are all fitted in already.
Once in a while when my oven trip, i just turn on again and run on a lower temp and it will be ok. Avoid using the broiler.

        Hi,

I’m wondering how well the Happy Call Double Pan will perform on a regular electric oven (not induction).
        Has anyone tried that?

        Best Wishes,

          Dasalo,
Thanks for your reply. So your friend never line the pan with parchment paper but just cook over very low heat? My oven keeps having short circuit so cannot use so tried with HCP.

I use only soft sponge for my pan and never scrub with scouring pad. I don't know what went wrong. Once, had a bit of chow tar from making char siew, but cook out the black stuff with water before washing. :scared:

No, she did not line with parchment paper just bare. She uses the prima ready made chiffon cake mix.

Maybe, you can try to re-season the pan again ie. heat the pan at low heat and oil it. Leave in for 3 days without washing out the oil, thereafter, rinse it before use.

Your oven having short circuit is common and is due to your not using it often. All ovens (even the most expensive brand) are like that due to our humid weather. You should at least heat up the oven for 10-15mins once in every 3 months even if you have nothing to cook. That way, you keep your oven's heating element out of moisture.

Thanks Dasalo for the suggestion. Will try it out.

Happycall pan cannot be used in the oven. The handle is hard \"plastic\".

Don't quite understand your \"electric oven (not induction)\".

                Hi Inde,

A few of the ladies in the FB \"HappyCall experience and recipe sharing\" group did have their HCP use on electric stove but not oven. HCP cannot be used in the oven.

I guess my question is about the stove then.

English is not my first language, you know 😉

Anyways, the bottom of the pan looks kinda uneven so I'm worried if the heat from an electric plate will transfer well to the HCP.
