A few of us who are not familiar with how the Roomba works and are considering of purchasing it. We would like to know if there is any need for us to take the roomba from one room to another for it to do its work? Or will it move auotmatically around the whole house?

Hi, The Roomba would navigate from Room-to-room on its own. Would clean for around 1hr 15min - 1hr 30 min and return home to charge on it own. A detailed demonstration, maintenance and usage guide would be provided during delivery. Many thanks for the interests.

I think all the robot vacuum cleaners are the same. They are supposed to be able to navigate on their own to clean the whole house, but just imagine how many corners, turns, gaps, etc. there are in your house, and you will know that this fully auto mode is not very easy, even if possible. What will be easier is for there to be some intervention, like bringing the vacuum cleaner to a room, isolating it (closing the doors) and let it deal with that room alone, followed by another room. Then for living room + dining if large, try to separate them, especially if there are furniture there too. This will shorten the total time required to vacuum the whole house. We do this at home.


I think we could just leave it running on its own for the whole house but feel that it will take a lot longer to do so.

Anyone knows which vacuum cleaner is good for getting rid of dust-mites?


And on the topic of robot cleaners, I recently got mine and it is very good. The house is
squeaky after it does its runs. I just need to mop once a week. The brand is neato.

Rainbow is good for dust-mites. I have a used E2 with almost new parts, FOC BNIB mini vacuum head for car/stair/carpet, warranty past dated Feb12 bought full set at $3300. selling $2800. The Irobot goes over the same area several times..told hubby to use it for a section of the living room or one of the rooms at one time...this way, it does a cleaner job. Prob is it can't reach corners. So once a week, I still use my water-based karcher. I like the idea of stepping on clean floor. But I get very tired when I am done.
