So it seems like the biggest group are between 30 - 39yo.........

Men in this age group will have daughters around upp pri school. This is the age group these men would have been married around 5-8 years. So an 18 year old is thrilling.
Need to educate daughters and sons about this and to love and respect their bodies.

Actually, I think prostitutes serve an important function in society. There are men among us who have no easy access to sex. Unless these men have taken vows of celibacy (i.e., they’re monks) then frequenting a prostitute in a commercial arrangement for sex is fair to both parties.


The RVHS Teacher is unmarried. He could be your son or your brother. If your son and your brother aren’t married, you will seriously expect him to be a monk? In this day and age where sex is on every poster and every filmshow and every billboard? You can’t watch a movie without having to sit through kissing and all that, often quite extraneous to the plot.

The RVHS teacher entered into a commercial arrangement for sex… and very likely he had NO IDEA that she was underaged. Come on… if property developers can sell apartments to naive young couples by misrepresenting brochures and showflats, you think a pimp will be concerned about declaring that one of his most popular girls is underaged?

Then also, we think the 17 year old girl should be punished. Why? Prostitution is legal in Singapore (for good reason… because it does fulfill an important purpose… like garbage collectors or night soil collectors in the past… not a prestigious occupation BUT important). The law happens to specify an arbitrary age of 18, below which a prostitute is considered underaged. This was meant to protect girls who are coerced in to the profession. Clearly, this girl has made a career choice. She is not being coerced. She just happens to be a precocious genius at sex… no different from the Math genius who at 20 has a PhD and is tenured at a university. Why do we respect one and flame the other?

If there are sisters among us who like sex and like the job, why not? It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it… I did read some research a while back where researchers interviewed career prostitutes (working independently for themselves). The really really top ones provide companionship and some semblance of affection. Some men are really so lonely that they’re willing to pay for even this Pretend-Affection.

We do not know the family situations of these men. We don’t know if their wives have health issues related to sex. We do not know if they experience loneliness etc… They chose to PAY for sex instead of seducing girls for that. That is good. As for the RVHS Teacher… so handsome… scholar and everything… he could easily had gotten free sex if he had put some effort into seduction. But he didn’t. He paid up… in an arrangement that was upfront for both him and the girl. Perfectly alright!

Unfortunately, this girl was underaged.

I think prostitution is fine as long as it is a direct relationship, with no pimp involved.
