That means keep to themselves, don't talk much and don't interact.

Not really. Expensive childcare can also have poor ratio and cheap ones can have good ratio. U just need to look around. 24 is actually a lot for 2 teachers to handle. And usually in N1, it's 2: 16.

Give a call to the cc near your place. Look around more. There may be some hidden gems. I found mine thru recommendation. It wasn't in my radar even. But lucky to find it. 🙂
      Thanks Mashy for the tips!

Under mycs this age group is 12:1 lo

Yes, altho they it’s 1:12, not all will accept until so much. I will shun these ESP for our kids who need more personal attention. Who cares about mcys guidelines? U should not just be led by the nose. If not it won’t help your kid.

no choice, whenever i brought this issue to the principal, she will show me mcys guideline, i think mcys shd do sorting about this too.

There is a choice. Change school. Call a few to ask. The ratio by mcys is used as an excuse when they increase student nos. But anyway, it’s your choice. I see a lot if difference in my boy when he moved from a 2:22 class to 1:8. The attitudes of the principal and teachers are also very important. The 2:22 class teachers were terrible coz there were too many kids and they couldn’t be bothered with those who do not conform. The 1:6 gave more personal attn and it helped him tremendously. His Chinese teacher wasn’t so good and she gave him nightmares, but thankfully she soon left and he had a great teacher after that.

take mashy advice. Try to change to a smaller sized class, ideally less than 6.

your son needs a lot of attention from the teachers. It doesn’t help him if he remains in a big sized class. You’ll see a great difference.
