Hi Vevey, thks 4 yr info. Meaning that the smart phone which will be giving out to all P3 can be returned to school when we parents feel that our kids use it inappropriate manner. Must the P3 students need to carry the smart phone to school? I was thinking to keep the phone at home and let my girl uses it after school. Worry that she will either surfing net using the smart phone during lesson or loses it in school. Anyway, 2 more yrs to go.....

Yes, can opt out of the research project anytime. Teacher is then supposed to replace the experience w \"traditional teaching materials\". :?
We gave it a try for 2 mths but it really didn't work out for DS1 who lack the self-discipline. They hv to bring the phone to sch & sometimes, use it for some miscellaneous work at home.

While at home, I kept the phone until he finished the rest of the work b4 letting him fiddle w it but at sch, it's out of our control. Yet, his teacher was unable to monitor their usage closely in a class of 40+ kids... 🀷

It's really unhealthy to see some kids still glued to their smartphone while walking out of the sch gate. The discipline master had to confiscate phone from a kid watch u-tube during last Wed assembly & I guess that's only the tip of ice-berg.

I still can't figure out why the sch is so keen on giving them a smartphone 24/7 when a humble calculator is yet to b allowed at his level. :siao:

I guess nowadays the kids are in the 21st century. What we have went thru when we are students in the past cant be used on them. Times have changed. Diff learning environment.

The LMS quiz (English) for P1 this week. Should this be done online by pupil at home? when I logged on to the LMS Portal I can see the anouncement in the calender but this is not a hyperlink and this also says expires in four weeks, can anyone advise me how about doing this??? ? :? :?:

          Thanks in advance!!!
Pupils can do LMS at home at their convenience b4 expiry. For lower pri, usually their teachers will remind them in class as well.
Ur child will hv to login to LMS Student portal w his/her birth cert. # & password. There will b a list of tasks to be completed.

This happens to all schools...past and present, even very tip-top elite schools. So nothing new and surprised.

I played ard DS' account & saw what u meant.
U r in \"Calender View\", try clicking the \"Task View\" button on the left (above Sun) to list the tasks.
However, DS' in Calender View can still hyperlink & load the task, even tho it's slower.
I don't hv it on hand but there shld b a hotline in the user guide given by sch? Saw this helpline on lms homepage tho:
                  +65 6777 9661 (Monday - Friday: 7.30am - 6.00pm)

log into LMS portal. Once inside, click on \"content\". After that, select \"eZhishi\" icon (should be at bottom left). You will be redirected to etutoronline.net.....At the bottom right, you should be able to see \"eChinese Magazine Assignment\". Those should be the assignment required. Click on \"more\" to have all the assignments listed.

                      hope this works for you.
