        kk mummy,

I have a couple of questions to ask and need advises. Hope all the experienced mummies can help me. TIA!

        1. I heard that we need documentations to prove that we are the ex-students of CFS i.e; Report book. I tried searching high and low for it and could not locate it at the moment. Just wondering if there is any other ways of proving? I have the class photo of Pri 6, not sure if it's help.

u can go to MOE headquarter and the Customer Service there will print a document to prove u were an ex-student.

        2. For being ex-students of CFS, which phase will I fall under? Is it high chance to get in?
Phase 2B. its 100% chance. but MOE going to re-structure the phases .. depending if they can do so by next year, things may be different

        3. Is CFS a very academic school as like what i have heard. Are the students there very stress?
my kid's ok there. i think the teachers do put in a lot of efforts there, so no worries on that 🙂

I thought Ex CFS student is under Phase 2A2? Alumni is under 2A1?

2B is for PV and members of SHHK clan.

yes 2A2. Thanks for clarifying that 🙂

is really 100% chance to get in though as I just applied and there were plenty of places left after 2A1

any parents in phase2C for 2012?

i keep hearing CF v stressful? Chinese v impt in CF?

mummies & daddies, would appreciate your kind input. 😃
i have two gals in CF, one in p1 and one in p2. I would say its quite stressful by my standard cos there is considerable homework almost everyday. sometimes the homework can be quite advanced, eg. the students are asked to do worksheets on concepts that they may not have been taught yet. we gave feedback to school that perhaps to space out the homework but the teachers say some parents actually feedback that the homework is not enough... :? 🤷 :frustrated:

but i like the school's emphasis on chinese in terms of the verbal articulation. they have regular 口语课 which teaches chinese poems and rhymes, and they are conducted by teachers from the clan. so the kids get a good dose of exposure into the chinese culture.

my gals' chinese has improved considerably after going to CF.

I agree that there’s too much homework everyday. For P1, my girl does her work till 10pm.

Yes. I agree that there are a lot of hw, however I am secretly happy that this is the case to keep my kid in check. I don’t send my kid to tuition (other than Chinese) and I think this hw is good enough to keep her busy. I don’t need to assign her further work bc she might not want to do it. I am glad the school is helping me keep her in check in a way.

I agree about the Chinese influence. Although not excellent in Chinese, I think her Chinese improved leaps and bounds and sometimes even surpassed me after entering the school
