      Hi Mummyv

      Thanks so much. The image is definitely big and clear. However, I think the weight of the empty glass jar should be 1.84-(0.13X13)= 0.15kg=150g. With this, then Full glass + Full cereal = 0.15 + (0.13x4X 5) = 2.75kg. These answers will be the same as what Mychildren has worked out.

      Thanks again for helping me to understand the question with your wonderful illustration.

      Thanks to Mychildren and Tianzhu too 😄
      yes my bad stupid: 🙂 need to minus properly ...

        Hi Mummyv,

        Don't say that! Your diagram is fantastic and very clear. Could you advise me how to draw? Which software you use? I'm not good at this. You're wonderful in sharing the diagram with us.

        :thankyou:

          Need Help:

          Question: Container C had 2108 marbles at first. How many marbles were added if on the last day, following the same pattern, there were no marbles left?

          :?

            Appreciate your help…on ratio sum.

            Is there any illustration to calculate?

            The ratio of Sharon’s age to Ariel’s is 5:2. Ariel is 9 years younger than Sharon. In how many years’ time will the ratio of Sharon’s age to Ariel’s age is 3:2?

              Hi

              Age gap/difference will always be the same.

              Sharon's age : Ariel's age --> 5u : 2u (age gap --> 3u)
              When Sharon's age : Ariel age --> 3:2 --> 9u : 6u
              3u --> 9, 1u --> 3
              9u-5u = 4u
              4 x 3 = 12
              Ratio of Sharon to Ariel age will be 3: 2 in 12 years' time.

              cheers.

                Hi MathIzzzfun,

                Sorry am weak in this. Could you explain why 3:2 x 3?
                When Sharon's age : Ariel age --> 3:2 --> 9u : 6u

                Thanks

                  Hi mychildren

                  😆 if my DD dared to show me this working..... I will be scolding her... only gain method mark no answer mark due to carelessness... so far am still struggling to coach her that's when I chanced on this forum out of desparation...
                  Well, I am not good in software too. I used Illustrator, export it to jpg format and uploaded it using the tinypic box at the bottom of the page included in the forum. This may not be the best way as Illustrator is not commonly used. The maths gurus here like Tianzhu and MathIzzFun do it better. Maybe they can share?

                      Is it something wrong in the question? I asked my DD, she said only one number appeared.

                      Can this question be solved?
