      Hi KopiYing,

Are you a teacher? Hee, enjoy spending time with your ds now, when no2 arrives, you won't have the time to be bored πŸ˜„
      Bingo!

My boredom is not able to meet up with friends etc like before. Coz got a maid and if hubby not at home I gotta be around to monitor.

By the way, what is DS, DD1 etc?

DS is Dear or Darling Son so I think you can guess what is DD and what the 1, 2,3 etc stand for. πŸ˜‰ (DH = Dear/Darling Husband)

Yup no maternity leave even I go back in 2010. Wah u quit ah? I was hoping to go back to work coz really not used to staying at home. I need to keep a balance, till now I'm still trying to adjust though I've taken 1.5yrs of NPL. Probably been working for 16 years already. Gotta abort the plan for open posting coz found out I'm preggy in beg Jun  So gotta extend for another year.

I need a maid coz having No 2 and due in early Feb. Even not preggy I find it soooo tiring looking after son. Maybe I'm approaching 40 that's why...sigh...Initially i also thought I cld do it on my own but my son only sleeps for 1/2 hr or so though he's only few mths old. Buay tahan lah.

I'm also taking my masters so tentative is the arrangement is like that. And yes, I REALLY hope my children grow up fast!

I gave up my ML too :stupid: Only found out I'm preggy with no2 after I applied for NPL. Enjoying my time with no1 so rejected P's offer to go back 3mths before due date. I missed my job too but really cannot balance family with job 😞 Tried part-time, but more like half pay, 3/4 load. :x

I actually applied for NPL bcos of no1, sleeps little and needs middle of night feeds all the way to 2+yo. Super tiring! Too sleep-deprived to be up at 5+ to get ready for work 😒

Wow, by distance-learning? I'm also keen to take up some course next yr. Enjoy spending time with my kids at home, but don't want to end up a \"yellow-face\" housewife. :!:

If your gals are okay with friends or neighbours... you can actually work out some play dates. For example when your friend or neighbour is planning a nite out with their spouse, they can leave their children to play with yours. And when you are planning a night out with your hubs, it's vice versa... your children will get to stay over their place for a couple of hours. If the children still have grandparents, there is also a choice for them to have a sleepover and when they fall sound asleep, you and hubs can tip-toe out for a midnight show and short supper till early morning. This wud work best for children who sleep like logs and for Fri & Sat nites where it won't cause a hangover from lack of sleep to go to work the following day. πŸ˜‰

It took me some time to get there. But it will happen and CAN happen if you work towards it. It takes small efforts to get to the big results. πŸ˜„

Small steps include efforts from both parties. For example, i had both girls in same afternoon session (during kindy days) and when hubs occasionally takes those surprise half day leaves, we go out together for tea and movies. Yet, in time to fetch them from their transports. πŸ˜‰

                    Yup. Still... 😞

                    Buuuutttt...
Doesn't mean we can't still be notty, rite?
Wake-up sessions are usually hush-hush kinda quickie.
It's a challenge to keep in hush down really. But it
is thus the reason why that makes it exhilarating.

Seconds are usually when EVERYONE has left for
work and school. So there's just the two of us in
one very quiet house to ourselves. And that's
when it can get pretty wild.
