      Its all right. Its all depends on which method you and your child is comfortable with. 😂

        Andy n Ben have $680 altogether. After Andy spent 1/3 of his money n Ben spent 1/4 of his money, they will have equal amount of money left. How much did Ben have at first?

          Hi

          Andy and Ben had equal amount left. So,
          2/3 Andy's money = 3/4 Ben's money
          6/9 Andy's money = 6/8 Ben's money
          Andy's money --> 9 units
          Ben's money --> 8 units
          Ben's money at first = 8/17 x $680 = $ 320

          cheers.

              Hi

              it is \"shortcut\" to determine the ratio.. the rationale can be understood easily when we draw the model as shown below:

              cheers.

                      Hi,

                      Please help me with this question, I am confused…

                      In a Mathis quiz, a correct answer would earn Raju 5 points while every wrong answer would cost 2 points to be taken away. For every 3 questions that Raju answered, he would get 2 of them correct . If Raju earn 3
                      48 points altogether, how many questions did he answer in all?

                      Many thanks!

                        Hi

                        I'll take it as 348 points.

                        You may use ‘Grouping concept”

                        Consider a group of 3 questions.
                        2 correct and 1 wrong -------- 8 points

                        43 groups ------- 344 points

                        348 – 344 ----- 4 points

                        2 correct and 3 wrong ------- 4 points

                        Number of question ------- (43*3) + 5 ------- 134

                        Best wishes
