I am going to enrol my DS to the new Punggol View Primary. Just near my house. So glad that they are able to start operation in 2013.

Does anyone know how many places each of the new Punggol primary schools has?

This means that you stay near me. šŸ™‚
            I'm just beside the school.

Anyway, though hubby and I have 'decided' on the school for my 5yo, I'm rethinking due to logistics (the school is in Bukit Timah).

Hubby's take: Just enrol at his alma mater (Bukit Timah) and try out. If we really can't cope or my boy doesn't like the school, then we transfer him to Punggol View which is just beside us.

My wavering take: Why not just enrol in Punggol View and I coach him from home?
Then other factors come to mind: Overseas/competition opportunities. Usually new schools don't have school team and this leads to lesser opportunities. Not that my boy will most likely be on school team, but there's just a possibility.

Now, I'm sitting on the fence. Hubby will most likely say 'yes' to my decision. Study at a school near Punggol? Or send to Bukit Timah daily?

Hi I have the same dilemma although my decision can come later - my DD starts p1 in 2014.

I can chose to send her to my alma mater in AMK or to a neighbourhood sch near home. Thinking whether to shift house to be nearer to AMK, to stay put in the neighbourhood. Travel time is definitely a concern.

Initially I face the same dilemma as you. But in the end i follow hubby decision to enrol in Punggol View. I scare that i will be too rush and tired šŸ˜‚ if i enrol my DS to a further school that is away from Punggol. Coz i will be the one sending my DS and his younger bro to school and nursery in the morning. The shorter travel time the better, DS will not be so tired and is shelter to our hse. Will not be scare of heavy rain. Than i can supervise his school work at home.

My girl is going to P1 next year and I intend to send her to Punggol Green Primary School which is near my home. Anyone have any news on this new school? Thanks!

                    Hi,

Since Mee Toh is a Buddhist school, do the students take religious studies? Thks.

No. They have Dharma classes on Saturdays for parents and pupils who are keen on Buddhist religious studies but it is pretty much a secular environment on schooling days. The school emphasizes a lot on exemplary values and character building for all pupils. This is what sets Mee Toh apart from the other schools in Punggol/Seng Kang.
