No need. He is still young. Just do more playdoh, cutting, crumpling paper etc. build up his finger muscles.

            ImMeeMee:
[good for you desertwind. right now i am also coaching dd3 on K1 worksheets. she is delayed in her fine motor skills and so far can only write her name in a fairly legible manner, tracing is not quite there, and coloring is relatively ok but she has the tendency to scribble ... so still a lot more work here ...how is yours coming along?

            Hi ImMeeMee,

My boy is speech-delay. He is only beginning to say more words now and increasing his vocabulary. As for writing, he can write reasonably legibly A-Z (big and small), numbers etc. Most times we make him write on dotted lines but recently ask him to copy some words by himself. He can write his own name but if he rushes through his writing can be quite bad! I am using the series of Kumon books to do with him and also his weekly tuition got quite a lot of homework worksheets to do as well. I think he enjoy most is learning by playing and handson using wall charts, toys, \"fishing\" exercises etc. He also learns by watching DVDs. 😄

U can make your own edible playdoh. It’s just flour, oil and colouring. Eat also never mind.

the coloring contain chemicals - to make it colorful.

you do not know where the source of chemical come from ?
                it may come from China.

                chemical is harmful.
please don’t let yet child eat !

                if your child eat -
once harmful chemical enters blood stream, it may cause brain damage or vital organs damage. Irreversible !

There is coloring in a lot of our food. All the decorated Cakes also have coloring. We don’t have brain damage or organ damage after eating them. Pls don’t scare pp unnecessarily.
