Fossil fuel is created when dead organism are buried underground over a long period of time without sufficient oxygen for proper decomposition to take placer. The energy in this dead organism (which is converted to energy in the fuel) is converted from light energy of the sun through photosynthesis.

Other components of Solar energy are heat and radiation
