I think my boy has skin allergy to the play-doh! Last time he plays a lot but we notice his skin on his hands turns red after each round of playing. So we stopped and I don’t dare to start again. But I already bought one box of play-doh (Mr Potato Head) to play with him. Will be carefully observing any adverse reactions from him!

                  Hi ImMeeMee,

My boy is speech-delay. He is only beginning to say more words now and increasing his vocabulary. As for writing, he can write reasonably legibly A-Z (big and small), numbers etc. Most times we make him write on dotted lines but recently ask him to copy some words by himself. He can write his own name but if he rushes through his writing can be quite bad! I am using the series of Kumon books to do with him and also his weekly tuition got quite a lot of homework worksheets to do as well. I think he enjoy most is learning by playing and handson using wall charts, toys, \"fishing\" exercises etc. He also learns by watching DVDs. 😄
good to see that the writing skills are coming along fine! :celebrate:

are the kumon books available over the counter or are they from the Kumon centers?

I think popular also sell Kumon books right? I recall seeing them before.

But I bought those normal K1 books. Are kumon books better?

                        helplessmum3,

I know how u feel. Tat’s why I am pregnant with my no 3 loh. At least when I am not around, he still have 2 siblings to count on. Not that I am expecting other kids to look after my son, but cant be both of them dun care abt his brother ba.

And of cos, we made some investment plans to leave them to my son when we are gone. Hopefully he is independent enough to get by.
