why Zoe Tay’s son was accepted into HPPS??

Whichever school her son goes is not important. Most important is that her son can make it in the school. As the standard of both schools are more or less of similar standard, her son will shine if he's good. Seriously, there's more important issues in lives than to get upset over this. Are those parents so sure that if their kids got into the school, their kids can outperform the rest? Their kids can make it into good secondary schools later if they perform well in their PSLE. Being in a neighbourhood school doesn't mean that their kids will definitely do badly....unless... :censored:

I believe KSP forum still have many \"sane\" parents who do not go \"barking up the wrong tree\", unlike some reporting which are skewed and do not get facts right. Important for the public to be able to differentiate truth from misleading reports. -
She should have just kept quiet about the PV thing at nanyang.
Firstly she is staying in holland rd and then her hubby is ex-Henry park student, registering under phase 2A is no prob. Sometimes, it is not necessary to talk too much and give others a chance to fire missiles. -
Her son is not in HPPS. Her hubby is old boy of SJI junior. Which I think is ST michale in the past and now SJI junior.
The report is not correct. Her son is in SJI junior.
She did not apply for HPPS. -

Whichever school her son is in, just be it...why get so angry ? It's not like if her son is not at nanyang or Henry park, those parents can definitely get their kids into schools. Is it because she is Zoe Tay that is why these people got so angry ? Why don't they get angry with ministers ? They would have put their kids in nanyang or Henry park too.
The report is not correct. Her son is in SJI junior.

无聊的人! So free to make complaints, why don’t they spend more time with their kids to ensure they learn good conduct, perseverance & resilience? These are the qualities that will benefit the kids in the long run. Primary school, no matter how branded won’t guarantee the kids to be successful in future wat.

No big deal. One of my hubby nephews went to Nanyang Pri but ended up in neighborhood sec school. My nephew is in P5 this year & also in Nanyang Pri School. His school result is not good & most probably end up in neighborhood school too.

in future, any celebrity from the Arts and Entertainment TV, cinema media, movie industry world who are currently / intending to be a parent volunteer to place their child in one of the Top branded schools - good to learn a lesson here. If you know you’re a celebrity, try not to invite gossip. If some kaypoh reporters ask, "so which school you enrol your child for P1 ?" Just diplomatically reply, "Well, still considering. we haven’t decide yet."
it is always good to remain low profile, at all times.
You are only a parent volunteer. Not even sure if child eventually gets in or not. Even though you PV but on that actual registration 2B / 2C day esp. in hot, popular Top branded schools, even if stay less than 1 km, many people also balloting alongside with you! Is all luck on that day.
So BEFORE child has even enter, try not to raise commotion in the press. Otherwise back fire, if child eventually don’t get in for whatever reason(s), inviting unnecessary negative feedback, back leash gossip from public.
if remain low profile, just go about doing PV duties quietly like any ordinary parent volunteer in school, nobody bother. Everyone so busy with their own lives, with jobs, with children, etc.
eg: Chen Li Ping is one good example.
She entered quietly by phase 2C. Lady luck was with her, she got in through balloting! After her child got in, Chen remained humble, low profile. So nobody bother her, leaving her and her child study peacefully at Nanyang.
anyway, whether Philip ex boy from SJIJ or Henry Park, Philip is still an alumni who came in by phase 2A, one phase earlier before 2B. This is in accordance to P1 MOE registration rules. So those bunch of people who wrote in complain to Temasek times … are really too much, too free, nothing else better to do.
