My girl already in her Grade 5. Have never used the metronome. Using metronome is for children not sure of their scales. It's quite dependent and distracting.

Does the teacher count for her or can she do it independently?

I use ibeat application on ipad or iphonebe because i hate the annoying sound.

Nearly eveyone uses metronome. Even my teachers play with the methrome. When the rhythm gets really complicated at advanced grade or whenever students do not have the techniques to handle their pieces, they use it to check their pulse.

Is it a must to get metronome for beginner? My kids are grade 1 now but their teacher did not say hv to get that. But many of my friends said it is necessary.
I use it in lesson but wouldn't recommend it to absolute beginners to be used on their own.

Appreciate feedback if this is sufficient for DS1 who's studying for Grade 5. He seems interested to pursue further thus would like something that last him as don't think I'll purchase another piano.

Also, may I know those who have used HL125 for a few years, any problems or changes in the tones?
I use a 5-years old HL125 (claimed the owner) to teach. It doesn't sound as good as the new. Neverthless, it should be adequate to last till grade 8. If you have space, get their grand 😄 the action is a lot better and can be used up to diploma. It cost around $8k.

            Hi bktan02

Care to share how much did you pay for your HL 125?

What are the items they gave from the piano master?

              I am going to confirm a 2nd hand 6yr old Pearl River ( UP-108M) piano 🙂 @ $1400. is the price ok?

I do not understand of all Pearl River and you choose the above model. I find it too hard for most children. I hope that your children will not give up especially they are beginners. Good Luck.

The taller one sound nicer but exceed my budget.

Taller one are Upright Grand. Definitely sound better than those height below 127cm

                    Hey,

I bought my second hand piano from pianogallery. Some of their pianos there are in excellent condition despite their 25-30 years of age. 10yrs warranty so you dont have to worry… I advise you to bring a seasoned pianists along so he or she will be able to advise you regarding the sound.

Do enquire on their next stock taking and do rush once the stocks arrive! The yamaha U3 and Kawai K5s run out pretty quick.

                      Hi,

Anyone bought their piano from Asia piano before? Any feedback?
Thinking of whether to get a 2nd hand piano from them or cristfori?

IMO, a piano from Asia Piano will be better than a BN one from Cristofori.
