      Hi all

Do you think it's too early to start preparing our kids for PSLE 2014 now?

      What is ur opinion?
I don't prepare for PSLE but I prepare.Slow and steady.
I got panic last year, cos my son's maths marks go down and down for the whole year.SO I thought if in P3 he does like that in PSLE he sure die lah.So I wanted to work with him.People said P4 to P5 a big jump. Then marks will go down in P5.He managed to did the maths well in CA1,not sure for SA1.Now I found his compos so weak.now next I have to work on it.I don't know how to fix it.The solution should suit for him.Still thinking.
Next one is self motivation. This is the big fail part for me.

The reason I asked is bcos I have seen my colleague from china totally Bo chap on her children studies untill now that she starts to panic as her eldest boy is doing PSLE this year and his result was all the while borderline… Was wondering by outsource him to tuition now Will help to pull up his grade!

For me I believe in foundation as long the foundation is strong and just give a little push guess it will be ok

Are we not ''preparing'' our kids for PSLE, intentionally or unintentionally, all this while (tuition, enrichment, school exams etc)? :scratchhead:

Good evening to Club 2002 :hi5:

smartmummy is right, by preparing the kids for exam is as good as preparing for PSLE. For my DD, I will work to improve her competency in weaker component.

Makes my life easier now that paper 1 is over.

My boy just done with his cl prep for the day, pending my marking.
                    He is revising Eng now.
He had done his math rev last week going thru his text n wkbk n file m he will go thru 1 more rd before exam date.
I am 'looking after' my pot of soup now.
The other thing I dislike about exam period is cooking! Still have to find time to slice, cook n wash.

I find that we have to start devising a workplan n emergency plan too eg like what happened if sick just before exams. My boy kena twice last year, so we leave stuff like math n Eng as last few days prep as these revision can be easily forgo if kids fall sick.
I am still trying to find a way to teach compo m time is running out.
Psle prep now does not have to meanacademic prep.
