Good evening to Club 2002 :hi5:
Are we not ''preparing'' our kids for PSLE, intentionally or unintentionally, all this while (tuition, enrichment, school exams etc)? :scratchhead:firefly38:
Hi all
Do you think it's too early to start preparing our kids for PSLE 2014 now?
What is ur opinion?
smartmummy is right, by preparing the kids for exam is as good as preparing for PSLE. For my DD, I will work to improve her competency in weaker component.
I only prepare my boy for compo. The core subjects I give him a stack of stuff needed to revise n a dateline. Makes my life easier now that paper 1 is over. -

Doing maths revision now.. Feeling sleepy... Time for coffee
My boy just done with his cl prep for the day, pending my marking.
He is revising Eng now.
He had done his math rev last week going thru his text n wkbk n file m he will go thru 1 more rd before exam date.
I am 'looking after' my pot of soup now.
The other thing I dislike about exam period is cooking! Still have to find time to slice, cook n wash. -

Boy play on roadside nearly kena bang by car.Hi all
For those whose kids have finished their Chinese Compo care to share on the topic given.

I find that we have to start devising a workplan n emergency plan too eg like what happened if sick just before exams. My boy kena twice last year, so we leave stuff like math n Eng as last few days prep as these revision can be easily forgo if kids fall sick.Hi all

I told him I only sit with him for final revision on day before exam. He prefers cos he knows he ends up getting scolded by me if I go thru everything with him now n he still make same mistake. He got a lot of scolding from me for paper1 revision.Hi jedamum!

At times he daydreams or doodle or play with his paper clips. So I still have to keep watch. Just now just scolded him for doodling.
He rev by himself la. Will see his results later on to see if effective. If no, sa2 have to sit with him. -

I think we may need to start an early & kiasu PSLE 2014 thread for our 2002 kids! After reading other posts and from my observation & comparison, I think 2002 kids are less discipline, less focus, have short concentration span - conclusion we cannot trust them to study on their own or prepare the PSLE with less supervision. We need to PUSH them real hard in order to make them move an inch!
Please share if your kids are otherwise stated above. Thanks!
Totally agree with you. my DD is like that too.
