I'm using Mabelline primer and it suits me well cos it covers big pores and mattes my skin for hours. its light smell is ok tooLadies, any of you use Primer / make up base before putting on your make-up (foundation / powder)? Any effect? Any brand you would recommend?
I was reading that primer will actually give a better (matt) finish and help to cover up small blemishes / fine lines. Make up will last longer too. Any comments to share?

does any of you use makeup remover liquid, makeup remover sheets or cleanser that has removing makeup property to remove makeup? by using such cleanser only can really remove sunblock / bb cream & all traces of makeup? will it clog pores?
-
I use makeup remover liquid (Bodyshop camomile lotion) and makeup remover milk (Bodyshop mositure white series). These 2 are nearly finished (and I think Bodyshop has stopped both range too).
Recently, I bought some Nature Republic makeup remover liquid from Taiwan (Korean brand). The sales staff actually showed me how effective it can remove even eyeliner / mascara. Will start this when I finish my Bodyshop products. -

Er, not sure what do you mean by 'removing makeup property to remove makeup'?
For eyes, I'm using nivea eye make up remover. It's a clearless liquid. For mascara, need to repeat a few more times. For eye shadow and liquid eye liner, I usually repeat 2 to 3 times or until cotton pad looks clean to me.
My makeup usually focus on the eyes area. I've very dark dark circles, so need plenty of eye make up & eye shadow to conceal.
For face, I'm using neutrogena deep clean. It's a white lotion. Normally I will clean twice, the 2nd round usually have minimum foundation left on cotton pad.
But I didn't apply much make up on face, just liquid foundation on pores region follow by pressed powder, so quite light make up on face -
Need to switch skincare products every few months?

In one of the earlier post, someone mentioned facial… Where do you ladies go for facial?
-
i went once to a big chain for facial but didnt like the push sales pressure, + the beautican was pregnant and nearly poke my eye…
subsequent visits to some other small shops in malls also faced push sales pressure … didnt like.
after that tried a beauty saloon near my sisters’ flat and was a loyal customer even after the beautican has shifted to rochor centre. but has to stop cos she is old now and wants to enjoy life…
now also having facial at hdb estate.
i only go to those recommended by close friends…and choose one who has been in the estate for at least a few years…less likely to fold up shop or move elsewhere. my current one is at an old estate so surroundings a bit dirty but so far so good… -

so far, i went to Mary Chia, a small salon at town area and the salon nearby my house. Mary Chia's service was not good, also pushed sales and did not do a gd job to clean my face. so i stopped after finished my package. it was also not very cheap. the facial at e 2nd place was quite comfortable but i did not take package cos that time i still got package at the one near my house. the place was not easy to find too. i also had stopped going to the 3rd place cos e service was not very good. now i'm left with my package at Touche. e service was so-so only but e facial was rather comfortable too.
for me, i dun like to get pressure from e beauticians asking me to buy this and that. my skin dun improve much cos i dun go every 1-2 weeks. -

er.......1-2 weeks not necessary unless one has very bad skin condition which i think national skin centre is a better place to go.
hope yours is not a major problem.........
