Hi Cherrygal, Luanee,
Yes we shld form a small group. but everyones’ child have different needs. Most are myopic. Luanee, yours is long sighted. My 5 yr old is severe astigmatism only. -
Hi Kin
I pm you… -
Hi Luanne,
Try swissflex for kids they hv kids size n best of all is"flexible" & light, tis prevent breaking d glasses "legs" wen kiddo try to do funny things wif it.
My DD2 oredi broke 2 pairs of regular during their "fight".
Not all optical shops carry kids Swiss flex. Tik lens men & one shop in chongpang do hv.
Long sightness can b outgrown. So dun worry. But wen long sightness "neutralized" myopia will slowly seep in if didn’t take. Mine DD hv severe Asti, long sightness, slight colour blind… Haizzzz -
My 4+ years old kids are also wearing Swiss Flex…their first pair of spectacles. I find the design and look not too bad….of course they really look and feel kind of filmsy, but really very light. Our concern was that if their first pair of specs are heavy (on their little nose bridge), then they may not even want to wear them…so better to spend more on the most comfy one that we can get. They can fit into the smallest size Swiss Flex and they are also considered quite petite.

Thank u all for ur replies!! Yah in the end we got her Swissflex too coz normal kids types are still too big for her and will droop down her nose. Advantage is Swissflex can cut the frame (that bar behind) to suit her size.

My 4 years old son also diagnosed with high astigmatism. His face is quite small and we had problem finding the right frame for him.
We visitted several neigbourhood optic shops and nanyang optics but couldnt find one.
Anyone know which optics have more frame choices for small children?
thanks -

Try Capitol Optical shop, they have swissflex which allow u to cut the 'frame bar' to suit small faces.
