serpent, my dd's form teacher told me the teachers are NOT allowed to divulge the test dates except inform parents of the topic and the week when it is happening. To me, it is the strangest thing. If its a surprise test, by all means make it a real surprise, why tell me some and then don't tell me the full details? So that I can revise with my dd by the weekend before and be ready anytime? :scratchhead: i don't get it.

michyms, yes. i too share same tots.. daily have to be v stressed n pressure DDs too.

serpent, yes, so everyday that week I ask dd - did you have your test today? and when the answer is No, we would revise some more that night. I ended up asking the question four times that week because the test was on Friday... :slapshead:

michyms, doesn't reply to my note in helpmate. Didn't call when form teacher told me she would. Will be emailing her, see if I get any response.

gorilla, terrible leh... ya try email and see if it works better... at least that goes into her inbox and she cannot say she didn't see. If she doesn't check her email even, she really needs to work on her communicating to parents!

michyms, ya lor, I find her ‘not quite up to standard’. I even wrote the note in Chinese, just in case she’s not comfortable in English since she’s not local. I dropped her another ‘love note’ in DD’s helpmate, let’s see if she replies today. Anyway, already sent her an email. It’s not just the communication part. There’re things which she mentioned she’ll do but wasn’t done. As long as it doesn’t affect DD terribly, I’ll wait till PTC.

gorilla, so your dd will bring the note and specifically show it to the Chinese teacher? Then maybe she should just stand there and wait till the teacher writes her reply back…

I don't think every teacher has a blog...heard 1 respect teacher blog everyday on what was taught in class and inform parents of test content. Not from

1 compassion teacher, had to email her to ask. Wish she starts a blog soon to keep parents if class progress..really cool.

It is not a blog. 1 Respect teacher will sent out emails to all the parents to update what happen in class, what is going to happen this week, test content.
