now happened in Malaysia. Kid kidnapped but luckily released unharm after 1 wk after family paid M$300,000 ransom. Also 2 attempted cases involving students aged 11 and 12 in Malaysia but fortunately they ran into the school and seek help..not sure if attempt to kidnap or other reasons..

I saw the news in yahoo Singapore.i saw the video clips.i felt so sad.prayed for the chid to return home.i had no hope but prayed for him.then after fewdays i heard the happy news.thank god.
People said usually there were two police men in the corner but that particular day they missed and school security guard as well.

btw what happened to the rumour mongers who started this scare abt kidnaps in singapore? only let off with a warning? the rumours were as terrible as bomb hoaxes actually.

I have several "encounters" of helping lost child to find their parents… and would like to share with you this…


Case 1 : around 3 months back
Brought my 2 kids to AMK library, when i was reaching the entrance, I noticed a panic looking young girl around 5yr old walking very quickly out of the library and keep mumbling "mummy …mummy"

I am very worried ( as i mentioned earlier, already have several such encounters so a bit experience in spoting lost kids)… i quickly brushed my kids to look for their own reading materials while mummy go find mine ( i dont want to alert them as they will be very kepo ) then i quicky left them and try to help that little girl…

On the way, i keep asking ppl whether they got see a crying little girl, then i noticed 2 students stopped and staring at the direction towards "Jack’s place" i asked them whether they saw that little girl, they pointed to me the direction, l asked them to help me locate that girl, as we walked furhter n further away from the library, i asked a ice cream vendor, a few passer-bys, they all pointed to the direction of market!! ( almost 2 carpark away from library ) !!!

Finally, i saw a man standing beside her and saw her calling her mother ( my first reaction was, who is that man? crook? i quickly approached him n told him i m looking for the girl, and relieved to hear that he is calling her mother then, i answered the phone and informed the mother that her girl is lost ( i wonder has she noticed it yet …

while walking back to the library, the little girl was still crying, so to distract and cool her down , i chatted with her, praising her she was so clever tat she know mummy’s no. and telling her not to walk away from her parents if she cant find them the next time as it was very dangerous to cross the roads on her own…

I m feeling very relief to bring her back to her parents…

Poor little gal must be so frightened. She shouldn't wander so far & was lucky enough to meet kind souls like you & the man who helped to call her mum. :love:
