Buy two houses, then later decide which house to register as home address. Rich man talks....

he buy one house, his wife buy another house.
one to stay, another to collect rental income.
less than 1 km from branded school(s) sure can find eager tenants (to enrol P1 kids) keen to rent. When his wife likes to \"compare\" wealth with others, she can say see: now they own two houses. Rich !

but your earlier comment says : \"if he shift less than 1 km, in fact there are 2 SAP schools for his kids - Nanyang and Pei Hwa. His daughter (elder child) due for P1 2015.\" -- how is this possible ?

Any rich person can buy x number of houses and therefore be theoretically able to choose from ALL the good schools in Singapore. They are celebrities, one thing I’m glad is that at least they are doing it the right way - ie doing pv work, moving house. As opposed to renting addresses (and not staying there) or the famed but never proven money method of entry.

At the end of the day, we are all parents who want the best for our kids.

Imagine parents telling one another, ' :yikes: xxx watering plants leh, or holding traffic sign on the road.'

if xxx hold traffic sign on the road -
instead of directing traffic properly, end up creating bad traffic jam at King's road. Cars keep horning non stop. Residents run out of houses, see who's creating commotion. :please: 😓 :imcool:

No need to be naked or half naked lah…any celebrity holding lollipop at king’s road between 645-710am is sufficient to create a massive traffic jam.

Even got house within 1km doesn't guarantee a place. I lived within 1km of a branded school; DS1 was balloted out cos there were 43 more applicants than allotted. 😢 I didn't want to apply for that school in the first place and had another school in mind but DH insisted on going for it. :slapshead: If I really want DS1 to get into that school, I would have done what other parents did like PV etc. I for one prefer to let my children enjoy their childhood and lead a less stressful life. Education is not all about academic and A*. Every child has their own potentials and talents and that's my take. If they can do well academically then it's my responsibility to ensure that they get all the support they need. If not, let them choose what they want to do with their lives cos I can't live their lives for them and they shouldn't live their lives to please me. The only condition I lay down for my children is : you can do all things if they are not illegal or harmful to you and others. I strive to bring my boys up as an asset and not liability to society. I would have succeed as a mother when that happens. :boogie:

Actually no need for celebrity to be holding lollipop. As it is everyday at that time there is already a traffic jam on kings road, AND coronation road!

No harm being humble right ?

Mediacorp celebrities often target \"Speech and drama\", an area to volunteer in under phase 2B.

                      i) however, they may face competition from other parents who submit impressive curriculum vitae to school, also hoping to get selected / picked to serve in that same niche area of PV.

eg: parents who are experienced Primary school teachers themselves teaching language(s) in their own schools or teaching \"Speech and drama\" classes. Some of them taught for years, batch after batch of students.

Actually these Mediacorp stars usually volunteer their services by being the compere for nanyang concerts or events!

ii) school may also hire external Enrichment Service provider vendor(s) to come down Nanyang premises, teach P1 to P6 pupils \"Speech and Drama\".

Thus it pays to be wise for celebrity to be humble, due to competition faced by other parents as well, all fighting for a chance to get selected for PV, to enter into Top school(s).

True True hahahaha. What if it was Fann and Christopher's child next time? The whole road jam because of celebrities Parent volunteers.
