Hi, parents..need some advice here..but not academic though..
my girl came home & told me that a male classmate suddenly kissed her on her cheeks in canteen, while queueing up to buy food..according to her, 1 canteen hawker saw..she was shocked, but did not tell her teachers, except 1 good friend, who went on to tell chinese teacher, who then went to inform their Form teacher..
According to my girl, FT did speak to the boy..but my girl mentioned something like teacher say will give him 2 more chances!! which I feel no more chance should be given at all..but my girl may not have heard correctly..
I am not sure what I should do now..or should I not do anything at all?? I think I should at least find out from the FT on what has been conveyed to the boy?? Will I be deemed as too 'gan jeong' or kicking a big fuss if I asked FT??

How come everybody complaining about SA1 but when talk about sec sch open-house only, all the heavy-weight branded sch names start appearing? :siam:I understand that RI is also doing HCL.
My last understanding of HCL in Hwa Chong is the new student can opt not to do HCL in year 1 onwards. I believe this is case by case review.
Not sure of NUSHigh.

My son flunked Chinese paper 2...managed to pass Math. Now waiting for results of science as well as CL & Eng compo and oral, whether these can pull up the overall grade. I am totally demoralized :gloomy:

Not too sure whether our DS is in the same claz.....my ds results so far were similar to what you said about your DS..... I am also totally demoralized and don't know how to coach him. He has barely 4.5 months now to prepare for the BIG exam !!!!and don't know where he will end up in next year .....

Btw, my son is in R3. I told him I don't know whether I want to look at the papers or NOT. To look at them means 1) know whether he lost marks on carelessness 2) get more depressed if really careless. He was ok for CA1 (Eng). What happened ???

:lol: :lol:[/quote] during my time, there was no open house..even if there is, my mum won't bother..she didn't even bother to bring me to report to school & even told me to take bus from the wrong side & I was super-duper late,coz I only realised something wrong when the bus reach interchange!! the 1st time she heard abt RGS, was at Parents-Teachers-meeting-session..My FT told her I should put as 1st choice..my mum didn't understand English & stared at me blankly & asked me 'si mi lai eh'(What is it??)..I explained to her that it is the top girl school..she asked me, 'u can or not? if u think u can then put lor..' It was one of my most embarrassing moments!! still think quite funny whenever i think of it..After I got in, her market friends go \"WOW!!\" then she realised the \"wow\" factor..just trying to point out how different it is compared to the past..those days, we were left to survived & really survived..but now it's really so different & extremely competitive!!
Feel quite stressed, just by reading those posts by parents on exams & exams results..so much so that, I try not to read too much to avoid stressing myself up..I remember last time, I was still playing & having fun during recess in primary school!! think now it will be a luxury?!!
