Sadist! Sadist! Sadist!
actually ants are like 'terrorists'.
See 1 kill 1 cannot eradicate them cos once they have a nest, they multiply really fast, so need multiple prong strategy. That's why I'll first just quietly monitor them....until I locate the nests - a hole/gap that u see them enter & exit. Then all the ant-food (to reach the inner areas) followed by 'nuclear bomb' - spray insecticide. Call me sadist, but I enjoy seeing them scrambling out for escape only to face me waiting for them  Invade my home ?!?! You ask for it man!!! Whahahaha :rotflmao:

To me my hse is cleaner with vacuum robot than manual vacuum ( partially is coz I vacuum too fast hence not clean)Hi mummies, any of you use iRobot to vacuum your home? Is it better than sweeping or the normal vacuum cleaner?
I'm seeking advice in preparation of going maidless in the near future. Want to know if it's worth it to invest in an iRobot, or will a normal vacuum cleaner do the job as well. I definitely don't prefer to use the broom to sweep as I have some back prob. and also allergic to dust.
Also, how often do you wash the toilet floor, wall tiles and all? And do you wash your hubby's undies by hand or throw everything into the washing machine? Currently, I handwash my own undies and maid washes DH and DD's undies by hand. We don't mix undies with clothes in the machine.
I wash toilets once a week
Laundry all use washing machine but I do separate load:) -
agree, iclebo is working well so far… it can even mop… past 2 weeks after maid left, i haven touch broom/mop… and it’s clean ! and i use handheld vacuum for anything visible to me on floor…
washing machines i wash 3 times a week… just started dryer. today another load for kids uniforms and towels and bedsheet.
undies still ownself wash… kids n hubby undies all washing machines… but kids and adult clothes i wash separately as i dun use softerner for kids’ clothing. i soak their white uniform one night before i throw into washing machines… -
Hi puff, do you scrub the toilet floor and wall tiles when you wash toilets? Or just use water and spray?

Micolih, how much is your iclebo and where did you get it? does your washing machine come with a dryer, or you have to get a separate one? -
Anyone else here using iclebo? I’ve seen it advertised in the newspaper. Thought of getting one. But I’ve read negative reviews on it on overseas websites.

Thanks! I just bought a Karcher steam cleaner model SC4100 and it's really good! Light-weight and therefore lady-friendly. I steam clean my floor and it's v nice to step on it like what you said. I used round brush with Detail Nozzle to clean lines between tiles (steaming and scrubbing) and it's pretty effective. Maybe because my tiles are still pretty new (3 yrs)? I have previously use vinegar and toothbrush to clean the lines but with steam cleaner, it's a lot better I feel.
For vacuum cleaner, I have OSIM iecologi but only hubby can use as it's too bulky and heavy for me. Looking for one which has powerful suction yet light-weight. Considering Dyson D39. Anyone have used Dyson vacuum cleaner? Can give some feedback? Thanks!znzyzyzx:
Is better to vacumn or sweep first before steam mopping. I wont say that it is 100% effective in cleaning the lines in between. I guess if you really want those clean, probably have to do a few times ?
But I do feel my floor much cleaner when I step on it.
As for vacumn cleaner, I am only using an ordinary one. -
I use irobot Roomba 560 and set it to run during weekday (Mon,Wed,Thu) when we are working. For weekend, we still vacuum manually and steam mop the floor for thorough cleaning. So far, we are happy with our irobot
Just click the button and it will vacuum the floor for you. Take note that it will not clean your house thoroughly though, but at least 80-90% of the areas will be cleaned.
We wash toilet every week (toilet bowl, sink, floor). Thorough cleaning every 2 weeks (wall, shower screen and the rest).Angelight:

Hi, thanks for yr feedback. The SC4100, is it the one that can steam non-stop, as in, you dont have to wait before you add in water. May I know how much you pay for it, and from where? Thinking of buying another one, just for the kitchen. Because the current one I have, we use it in the toilet, so I dont want to use it in the kitchen. Thanks! Hi I use irobot 700series and very happy with it. Been using for quite a few months n no complaints. Can home on its own so we use it before going out. Now house much cleaner than with maid around.Hi mummies, any of you use iRobot to vacuum your home? Is it better than sweeping or the normal vacuum cleaner?

After reading about the karcher sc4100 from this thread I have decided to check it out and compare with scooba. My original plan was to buy a scooba for mopping the floor. Has anyone done this comparison? -
How much is an irobot and where can I get one? My helper is getting on my nerves with her numerous requests haiz…
