Gd morning club 2002!
I saw my son’s mother tongue paper 2.he improved.he lost marks in comprehension, spelling mistakes.i satisfied with his marks.i had lower expectation for mother tongue.so it made happy.other exam papers i haven’t yet see.marks only knows.after i see the papers only i can tell my expectation reasonable or not.
My expectation always fluctuated.depends on the paper.if he knows how to answer those qns should be answer correctly.if he never learn then its ok to go down the marks.not allow to careless mistakes. -

Today is DD's last paper so in :rahrah: mood to the extent that I acually forgot to set the alarm clock for this morning! Thank god my helper woke me up in time to prepare DD for school

Teachers should know the super smart or bright ones during daily assessments, not to use Exam pp to test water . It will be very discouraging for most students if the exam pp is well beyond their level, and may even affect their performance in the subseq subjects ! Yes, according to the teacher, the last question is set more challenging ... it is more of a IQ / Olympaid type of question. -
My girl got the last question in the Maths paper wrong - because she copied down 124 instead of 140. Careless! So she did’t quite make the grade she expected. She’s improved for Chinese, so I think all those nights spent doing her "Zhi Shi Hua Pao" paid off. I’m trying to make her read the "Little Red Dot" everynight now. We’ll see if that helps in English.
The 2 top classes in her school do OnSponge (in school, during curriculum hours), and have the option to go for Math Olympiad class after school.
