Actually Chinese is in mixed classes 4J/G/H. Tag2&3 are GEP classes while Tag1 is a high achiever class fr NH.

So the 9 chosen students is actually fr class 4J and not fr Tag2. :imdrowning:

Science result is out. Her class result between 23/60 to 54/60. Only 1 person scored full marks for mcq section.

May I know she is fr which school?

For those who din do well in Sci, fret not as SA 1 is 30%. Still have chance to buck up for SA2 cos it is 50% for CT, daily work and assignment 20%.

DD is demoralised having to score 65% - Got 42/60 but the performance task pulled her down and couldn’t meet the baseline. Told her she has done her utmost best and encouraged her to scale for greater heights.

DD told us she would work harder for Sci than other subjects (since she is managing ok with the rest ) and started her own reading for next new topics on Water Cycle and Plant System.

Hope your child is feeling better and not to be demoralised. The fact they are demoralised shows how earnestly they wished they could have done better. Parents, the kids deserve your pats on their shoulders. This is what they need from us to scale them go for greater heights as there will be more obstacles and challenges along the path. We still have another 2.5 yrs before our kids sit for PSLE. Cheers !

My DS score badly on Math paper1, only 30/50 almost the lowest in class where highest score is 50/50. He looked so down and dejected but I told him to take it as a good wake up call. I told him if he cant cope with his 2 CCA in school then he may have to quit cos he spend a lot of time in front of the computer whether doing projects or wasting time playing computer games or chatting with his friends online till no time for other stuff.

His score for Math previously was average consistently above 95. So it’s good to let them feel the setback (try to think positive here) or else they thought it’s still smooth sailing without putting much effort as last time.

Don't be too upset, at least your DS scores quite well in his English & Chinese, which I think even harder to achieve than Math.

I like your DD's attiutde. When I advised my DD that she would need to study hard, she said that she will. But then she just didn't have the initiative like your DD to want to read up on the next topics. Still depending on me to nag/remind her to do it. Now, still waiting for her to 'wake' up. :slapshead:
