Can I ask if it is easy to get to ACS Primary from Newton MRT station? Itβs a few bus stops down and the boys cross a bridge to get to school?

Exit A from Newton station. At bus stop B40181, take SMRT 171 or SMRT 700. Alight 2 bus stops later at Balmoral Plaza (Bus stop no B40051). Walk along the road to the first traffic light. Make a right and cross the road (Bukit Timah Road). Continue walking then cross another road (Dunearn Road). Then make a left and cross Chancery Lane. The school is in front of you.
If you wish to use the overhead bridge you will have to alight at the same bus stop (Bus stop no B40051) then walk to the first traffic light but instead of making a right and cross Bukit Timah Road you will have to walk straight and cross Balmoral Road instead. The overhead bridge is further down the Bukit Timah Road and there is no bus stop there. Although the overhead bridge does provide direct and sheltered access to the school, the gate is usually locked and opens only at specific hours.
Most will use the traffic lights rather than the overhead bridge if they are coming from Newton station.

like many, i always thought that chinese language standard in acs (p) is so so but now :skeptical:
i dont know about other classes but in ds's class, i dont think chinese language standard in acs (p) not that low leh..
maybe not as good as nanyang and some schools but definitely dont think it is bad.
guess most kids now have chinese enrichment since young so now many are able to converse, write and read well.
lots of catchup to do for us. :scared: -

In DS's class, quite a few big slides from P2 to P3 for Chinese..
I thought the paper was oki, not that easy any more..

Hi, my child will be joining P1 next year. Iβm concern as heβs having difficulties with his reading. May I know what is expected of P1? Do the teachers expect the child to write in sentences (English & Chinese) in the first day of school?

my ds class is changing teacher, back to her original teacher who is the HOD (chinese). Wah, good news.
Hopefully, his grade will move up too end of year.
