After this horrific crash, it does remind me not to cross the road immediately when I see green man. Also, don’t stand at junction or else drivers who make u-turn lose control of steering wheel…you know lah.

I try to stand behind something sturdy like a barrier. Cross road also try walk beside another person so I’m not the direct hit

I see some drivers and the way they make u-turn... :nailbite: stand far away from junction. Seasoned drivers are experienced. Those who are scary are the ones who drive rented cars or very new drivers.

:hi5: Janet, I am like you too lei ! I even reminded my DD also not to stand too close to the kerb while waiting for the traffic light to turn green for crossing the road. If use zebra crossing, make sure the cars stop, then cross the road and it's a big NO NO to use handphone while waiting at the traffic junction. I teach her to be observant and stay alert of the surrounding. And i lead by example.

Not kua Zhang but Bo bian. Taxi driver told me there are many new drivers on the road. After getting their license, they returned all tat they have learnt to the driver instructor. Or else people who have weekend cars and so hardly drive...coupled with new drivers, dare not imagine. Have to be super alert on the road.

No, you are not. One of my cousins was hit by a vehicle while waiting to cross the road. She was very young then - maybe 6 or 7 years old. That's why my other cousins and I are very particular about road safety and stand as far away from the road as possible.

No la, I do that too. Interestingly, my sense of safety on the road and traffic awareness only improved after I got my driving license. Prior to that, I was the \"green man means I can cross and no, no need to check the traffic got stop or not\"...
