5 units --> 40
1 unit --> 40 / 5 = 8

2 units --> 2 x 8 = 16

suhui, david and ahmad had the same amount of money each. Suhui spent $420 while david spent $300. The total amt of money suhui and david had left was 2/5 of the amt of money ahmad had. How much money did ahmad have?

Sorry, i can solve it by algebra but I need the method to be in models. Anyone? Thanks.

So out of 10 units from S&D, 8 units was spent -> 420+300 =720
1 unit -> 720/8 = 90
Ahmad has 5 units -> 90 x 5 = 450

Do double check with the rest whether same answer.
