      Actually to me.... so what???

I read somewhere that someone commented that is DC the best choice then for HG???? It appears that TPL is valued more than him. If he is really good, they would have find a place for him with a \"guaranteed seat\" just like TPL. It sounded logical to me :rotflmao:
Yes, correct. In the first place i dont see how highly intelligent minister can say this kind of thing :that he is not the best just because he was not selected for ncmp post ? Trying to confuse voters ?

After all, even if there were 2 or more equally good person, when there is only a post, only one can be chosen. So that does not mean all the others are no good.

his notes were all stuck together.

Really???? You saw from the download?

Watching rally on the computer seems to be better than live??? You get to see the speakers' facial expression. Reminds me of F1. Sometimes it's better to watch it at home. If you are live, you only watch a certain portion.... just zooming past.

I suppose the atmosphere is what makes the difference.

It touches me to read what the crowds did for one another during the heavy downpour. Sharing umbrellas, cardboard, plastic covers, etc... with strangers they don't know.... wow that kind of spirit....

Er.... we ran home and continue to watch. But I had to take a shower first as the last thing I want is to fall sick since I am travelling soon.

Actually hor, since MBT and who's the other guy...ur..........oh dear, now I can only remember Mas Selamat's name - anyway, these two MPs's place should also have by election. The party has already gotten them to step down as ministers, and they are hardly contributing to Parliament. šŸ¦†

(Oh, maybe they are doing it behind the scenes, like helping others write speeches.. šŸ¦† )

BTW, are they even doing their rounds of Meet-the-people har? Very curious..

I feel that the rain last night might have helped to garner support for WP. With their MPs braving heavy downpour but still giving their speech on the stage and lasting till the end. Sometimes it's all these little actions that matters.
I thought everyone would run away but surprisingly, we still see alot of people on the field. I woke up to find overwhelming support for them on FB.
agreed, some of the photos on the net on the rain-drenched WP members now are ....... priceless :please:

Ya. He struggled with the notes at first, trying to peel the top one off the other, but subsequently, they got too wet. Looking at the time that the rally ended, he could have said more if not for the rain.

              F1 - Ferrari zooming by..Hm...rings a bell. šŸ˜†

Now the rallies are like our National Day Parade - the spirit of ONE, not you or me, nor yours or mine - One Singapore.

Wow u can even ask for autograph, but if raining can't use it else signature gone..

Actually i m asking on behalf of my mother, so I will tell her to go early tmr in case it is sold out!

Yesterday heavy rain at the rally so guess the sale of the umbrella is good?
I haven't try to use them.... She used permanent marker (provided by the person who asked her to autographed). I just tumpang since I happened to be there.

My dh for one is conscious about showing his political stand. But I told him given that 6.5 in 10 voted for WP in HG.... Does that really matter and isn't it obvious???? Anyway... I still haven't figure out who he voted for. He is confusing me. :faint: So I am unsure when we will get to use those umbrella....

My mil got a free WP umbrella from the neighbour. They have been staying there for years. So must be keen WP supporter. We just moved to the area 3-4 yrs ago.

Besides umbrella, I also bought flags and last nite.... blue balloons.

:thankyou: for the great pictures. Look at the facial expression :please: Just hope they don't fall sick for the grand finale.

:salute: they are just so human.... Somehow the first picture on LTK appeals to me. That kind of conviction and commitment.

Unlike those gao gao zai shang MPs who are always surrounded by volunteers and bodyguards???

:rotflmao: MMM, you're so on ah? When my DH came home from WP rally last year, he bought some of their publications.

This is not about support ANY parties but tonight I experienced one of the most moving things in Hougang that will last for a long time ! What is amazing is that it started to rain, those with umbrella started running around, sheltering strangers without umbrella , aunties tearing plastic bags into 2 to give to others , family of 5 gathers under one tiny umbrella , uncle taking off their shirt and shelter other older folks and kids.
Singaporean placing others before themselves! Respect! Tonight Hougang residents , I salute you for your giving spirit!
