:thankyou: for the great pictures. Look at the facial expression :please: Just hope they don't fall sick for the grand finale.
agreed, some of the photos on the net on the rain-drenched WP members now are ....... priceless :please:MMM:
I feel that the rain last night might have helped to garner support for WP. With their MPs braving heavy downpour but still giving their speech on the stage and lasting till the end. Sometimes it's all these little actions that matters.
I thought everyone would run away but surprisingly, we still see alot of people on the field. I woke up to find overwhelming support for them on FB.
:salute:
:salute: they are just so human.... Somehow the first picture on LTK appeals to me. That kind of conviction and commitment.
Unlike those gao gao zai shang MPs who are always surrounded by volunteers and bodyguards??? -

...Besides umbrella, I also bought flags and last nite.... blue balloons.
:rotflmao: MMM, you're so on ah? When my DH came home from WP rally last year, he bought some of their publications. -

This is not about support ANY parties but tonight I experienced one of the most moving things in Hougang that will last for a long time ! What is amazing is that it started to rain, those with umbrella started running around, sheltering strangers without umbrella , aunties tearing plastic bags into 2 to give to others , family of 5 gathers under one tiny umbrella , uncle taking off their shirt and shelter other older folks and kids.
Singaporean placing others before themselves! Respect! Tonight Hougang residents , I salute you for your giving spirit!

If you vote for PAP in Hougang, we will be in great trouble soon.
p/s: although personally, I feel that Desmond Choo is quite cute but he is in the wrong side of the party. -

On the first day, I bought flags and umbrellas... and they told me no change. So I said never mind and they asked me to get other stuff. So i got the publication as well... It was more to support them.MMM:

Then ytd they came up with the blue balloon. Shaped like a flower and quite nice. It appealed to my kids... I was busy buying more balloons (as got sms request for more....) when it suddenly started to pour.....
I told ds that in PAP rally, flags/ umbrellas are usually free. In WP rally, need to pay but you see alot of people willingly pay for it.... -
Oppsgal:
....perhaps he shouldn't have said he took out his name volunteerily in the first place when it is never the case no matter how you interprete it.....dorisp:
Rather disappointed with PEH's explanation.
Why disappointed :?
Wonder where the document turn up from and why only appear at that time :?
To me where the document turn up and from who is not that important as long as the document are real...... -
MMM:
[/quote]Yes, PAP is rich. They give freebies to people at rallies to send the message that they take care of the people. Question is, why people are willing to buy to support WP, even huddling together in the rain to keep supporting the WP? This is something that PAP will never understand.concern2:

Maybe it is in our genes, from our forefathers who migrated here before our time, who took care of each other in tough times and supported the PAP, who then turned around when things changed, and struck us down saying we have the blood of peasants and bring in other migrants to replace us.
Either that, or they have moved too far ahead in their plans for the future, hence the gap between them and the people. -

Hey, it tells so much.... WP leaders standing on the stage till the last moment under a heavy downpour.... It's not a drizzle but a heavy downpour. Supporters sticking through the downpour. The best part was many were not even those hardcore supporters.Question is, why people are willing to buy to support WP, even huddling together in the rain to keep supporting the WP? This is something that PAP will never understand.
Just imagine... if PAP uses the open field. Will their supporters who were ferried there by bus still stick by them under this kind of weather :? -
MMM:
Now that they've seen what happened to WP rally in heavy rain, sure would be prepared right? Should be able to put up temporary shelter for them quickly - anyway, they won't need a very big one loh..
