Totally agree. I have witnessed many of my friends' maids ran away due to stress created by kids. It is not easy to maintain a work life balance. We need the government to do more to help families with young children like us.

Heyya there Karen4791.. :imanisland: Not everyone handles stress the same way. Hubs & I are perfect examples of polar opposites. I see stress as how one can manage it (most times at least ) while he flares up & at times show scary outbursts which means I gotta come in pronto! The kids too know when to cue me and go pssst mom, think daddy cannot handle already.. come quick! Work life balance can work if full time work is o ly half a day. Correct what, right? Half day work. Half day family time. Balance mah.. 50/50..

Government sure needs to do more, especially for ppl like me who have always voted for them.. :roll: .. done my part to raise my children while trying to balance up with economic relevance with either freelance or part-time stints.. and helped Singapore grow baby numbers with the arrival of my dragon boi.. Dear Mr President & Prime Minister, I have served. Balance oso cos two boi boi n two ger ger ! A family with four children.. $ no enuf to buy big mpv to satisfy car seats and boosters requirement.. actually cannot afford small car oso .. need better subsidies for preschool for we still cannot find maid who won't run away at the responsibilities of growing brood or worse, cannot find trustworthy wan who won't throw my loud crowing baby from our window hence we gotta live with/on single income.. at least until your first class country gets too expensive to survive on just one parent's $.. :nailbite: So please kind sirs, while we are indeed thankful for what is already in place, more children means more responsibilities on us parents, it's not just abt care giving but its abt raising your future Singaporeans .. future leaders.. It's also abt having to face PSLE n o levels more times than the average Singaporean.. So if more can be done, we welcome the gesture.

morning mummy buds hope today will be a wonderful day for u. Urm yesterday paper also got say a myanmmar maid died while trying to escape from a 3 floor flat.

Good afternoon, Pris.tang. :hugs: Thanks for your lovely morning wishes. It's been a relatively good and smooth sailing day so far. Boys all showered and fed by 10:30am and i got to do some stuffs with chubs too... unlike the other day, he was practically babysat by the tv. So sad.. i felt like a bad mommy. Because the baby was crying non-stop he couldn't butt in for his time. I tried to read to him all his favourite books that he kept bringing to me (while carrying baby). It was fine when the baby wasn't crying but when the baby wanted me to carry and jalan around the house chubs (sooner or later) sure got flustered and a little cranky. I kept hugging him (when i wasn't carrying him together with his baby brother) and telling him i love you.. i love you.. i love you okay? He usually is easily appeased. By the time he wanted to go to bed that night (and quite early too! ) ... he just hugged me to sleep dowan to let go. I tried to flinch and go out to wash dishes but he felt it.. so i waited for him to go into deeper sleep before i snuck out. As for the sore womb/lower abdomen, it was there throughout the night. Hard to sleep with the soreness. I practically hugged my hot water bag close to my lower abdomen and the warmth somehow relieved me of the soreness i managed to sleep before the next feed. Not having much sleep of late... paired up with all time anemia isn't a good combination really, so nowadays tend to accidentally fall asleep.

I heard from hubs that he heard from his colleagues of a maid who was asked to serve tea for employers and their guests. Somehow the maid felt wronged about something prior to that task and decided to make the tea extra special. The employers (after sending their guests out the door) went to the kitchen and was horrified to find pad soaked with tea in the bin! :sick:

I suppose, different people have different capacity.
Mine no choice got to be MPV 2000cc. :faint:

But i find that they are starting to take me for granted. :rant:
I'm going to slowly take a back seat and let them show me that they want it 100%
instead of me always with my 200%... it can get tiring. So, doing reverse psychology tactic now. :evil:

Hubs went for PTC and really tarok them.
He complained.. or rather.. vented out everything to their teachers this morning.
He sure had a field day.. :evil:
