Should I complain to higher authority about the principal?
-
onemore:
like the RGPS case ....... \"I got money. I will pay the fines, just to see her fumes......\" something like that, can't quote verbatim .......complain about principal? - usually doesn't fly
worst if it is an independent or autonomous or IP school
What you portrayed is rather mild; considering you may have not met a notorious principal that is abrasive with a huge ego, he would even go to the point to gall parents and students by taunting, encouraging and challenging them to complain to MOE.
Good experience says to work with the school to resolve issues - is best way out; else no other way but approach the press.

lots of time many parents / drivers are very self-centred, everything is I, me, myself, without realising, and refusing to recognise, the problems and inconvenience they cause to others; but is quick to complain and raise the hell when they are inconvenienced.

TS should be thankful that NOTHING happened to her child.
:spank: -
I think things should just stop here. The child is safe, that’s the most important (the car is safe, that’s second. My hubby is still complaining about me bang his car two years back, so car is more impt than my safety hahahah).
The point has been made. P will improve things if need be. Blowing things up is not in the child’s best interest. He will still have to face the p, the warden etc. -
Heyya all
Very good views and sound advice fm you guys!! :thankyou:
On hindsight, I shld not hv brought the matter up to P, it was foolish of me. I never knew that dealing with school is a different ball game altogether, afterall my background is corporate. Besides, don't organizations including hospitals and the govt emphasized on customer service?!?!
Take KK Hospital for e.g. They will give you a feedback form at every dept, whether it's @ the customer service dept or at the doctor's office!!
Another recent e.g.. wld be Singtel. To appease EPL viewers for the glitches, they are waiving one mth's fee! That says alot abt customer service.
Then talk abt our govt, aren't they also trying to connect with the citizens, trying to appease the people?? :?
I agree wif some of you that I shld just rest this case as it is considered quite petty.
However, I feel very strongly that parents shld not be held ransom by the schools and a movement shld be started to break this autonomy.
Any takers? :please: -

those bureaucracies have been blasted by consumers enough already before they kowtow to consumers. Do you know that singtel all the while has problem with mio tv from the very beginning ? even those magix days were full of problems.
i can tell you that feedback forms are for show only lah - to comply if their ISO requirement, maintaining kpi on ISO audit.... how serious they really act on it ? forms are for you to deal with a faceless department and no one takes responsibility over it. wait till you deal with SIA's booking problems, you will vomit blood!
but you went straight to 'confront' a person - that is different. but the P very fast tell the bus driver to be careful, it shows she is also striving to deal in a balanced manner -

I don't think one becomes a principal by virtue of superior 'customer service'. Anyway, I understand you have your child's best interest at heart, but these educators don't owe you a living. So it is better to exercise prudence if something needs to brought up to them. Dealing with people corporate style may get the job done in corporate world, but you should know this will create frictions with your colleagues and subordinates. So even people may do things for you, they may curse you behind your back and plan to backstab you anytime they have the chance. Do you really want this to happen with people who are supposed to educate your child? Treat this as a valuable lesson. Remember, treat people the same way you want them to treat you.Heyya all
