Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten (BRMCK)

hi mummies i have registered my gal for n1 next year pm class too. Now i’m thinking whether to transfer my elder one to k2 next year from a childcare so that they can go to school together. I have read a lot of good feedback about the montessori enrichment but I’m also interested in the multiple intelligence chinese intensive program for my elder gal coz i think she needs more exposure to chinese language. But I can only select 1 out of the 2 since both of these are 3 hours daily. Any parent whose child in the chinese intensive program can comment? Also I’m thinking what they can do during school holidays which are so long esp in june & nov/dec? Thanks.

any K1 or K2 parent here in brmck send child for Chinese enrichment at Ednovation ?
how many times per week ?
is it useful ? -
I have 2 kids in BRMCK currently.N2 n K2 and both in Montessori.Am a happy parent until the holidays as I have to look for alternatives :(. No major complains except that i think that the fees are a bit high and their technology can be improved. Everything including concert tickets are very manually done.

phtthp:
My boy started the Chinese immersion Programme by ednovation and I must say that he makes great improvement in terms of recognising Chinese characters and ability to read. The teacher makes it a point to return the Chinese books only after he mastered the characters. As we hardly speaks mandarin at home, I am impressed when he can read the books all by himself. And nowadays while watching tv, he will try to read out the Chinese characters (subtitles) that he know. So I find this Programme effective.any K1 or K2 parent here in brmck send child for Chinese enrichment at Ednovation ?

It's a daily 3 hr Programme and the fees is $1200 per term. Since its a daily Programme, he is able to adapt better and retain the knowledge taught. On top of that, they are encouraged to speak only Chinese in class so it enable him to pick up the language easily.

Hi,
I would like to check are there any parents who live in Jurong area and sending the kids by school bus? I have called the transport contact listed in the kindergarten website and the bus does not travel to Jurong.
Can anyone advise on this? Thanks a lot.
